adeline pov
"where are we going anyways?" i question in suspension. i have never been where we are right now. it's kind of like an empty road.
"well, i kind of want it to be a surprise," he answers while looking at me and smiling. i laugh a bit as i get a bit more comfortable in my seat.
i pull my sleeves and grip them with my hands. wayyy more comfortable.
"you cold?" asher asks.
"no, i'm good. just got a bit more comfortable," i answer.
"just let me know if you're ever too hot or too cold."

i get out of the car and look around. it's a nothing i would expect at all.
"um, asher. where are we?" i ask.
"remember the fight that you went to?" i nod my head and motion for him to go on.
"i thought you might want to meet the fighters. this is where they train," he says and points to the gym.
"all the fighters train here?"
"not all of them. i know jax ace trains here and you saw him fighting. a couple of other irrelevant fighters train here as well since jax does." he responds and wraps his hand around my back, leading me inside.
"but jenna is taking me to meet them friday. i can wait," i say and stop walking.
"well, you could always meet them twice now," he suggests.
"i don't know. i think she wants us to both meet them for the first time friday," i say and turn around.
"adeline, babe, come on," asher says as he grabs my wrist, preventing me from going any farther.
but when did he think it was okay to call me babe?
"i'm sorry, what?" i ask.
"what did i say?" he asks back.
"since when did you think it was okay to call me babe? we are not dating," i tell him straight up and yank my wrist away from his grip.
"have you not noticed that i've been flirting with you for a while?"
i don't respond and think.
how stupid could i be to not know that he was flirting with me?
"leave me alone," i growl.
"no!" he tells me. "i came here to show you something that you should know."
"i said leave."
"i'm your ride back," he reminds me.
"i'll go inside and ask one of them to take me home," i reply.
"you'll let a stranger take you home over a boy who just called you babe? what the fuck is wrong with you?" he exclaims.
"you were always a dick," i mumble.
"and i know you want mine."
at this point, i don't even respond. i start heading in the gym. i hear asher calling my name behind me but i don't listen.
i get to the door and open in, smelling sweat and b.o. as i head on in. but i really couldn't mind because there were a lot of shirtless guys.
focus adeline!
"the hell is a girl doing in here?"
"woah, look at that ass"
"who's that?"
i ignore all of these comments and head up to the front desk. it's a guy who's on his phone, probably playing Minecraft.
"excuse me?" i ask. damn i sounded like some stuck up rich kid.
"hello to you to," they say back, still looking at their phone so i don't have a clear view of their head.
"do you think someone in here could take me home?" i ask, trying to sound a bit nicer since i sounded like a shithead before.
"i can when we close," he tells me.
"and when will that be?"
"4 hours." oh fuck this.
"could anyone else besides you?" i ask.
"adeline, what the hell are you doing?" asher says as he stomps inside and towards me. i didn't even notice everyone looking at us.
"getting the fuck away from you." okay maybe i was being a bit over dramatic. but i am kind of a stubborn bitch so oh well...
"stop acting like this and lets go," he says and clenches his teeth, grabbing me and pulling me in the process.
"let go!" i exclaim. asher doesn't budge though.
everyone is just standing there and watching, not giving a damn. their fighters for craps sake, are they scared?
you know what, time to give everyone a show.
i yank asher and elbow him in the stomach with as much force as possible. he immediately lets go of me and wraps his arms around his stomach.
"don't ever call me babe. don't ever say i want your dick. and most of all, don't ever do this again," i tell him.
"you're such a bitch! sorry you can't take a joke and sorry that you were too blind to even notice that i liked you! i had to make a move some time didn't i?" he exclaims and then shoves me down on the ground.
"you are just like your brother. i should have listened to jacob! both of you are complete bitches and don't know how to treat a girl!"
"you should have listened to jacob?" he yells. "jacob has been lying to you this whole time!"
but at this point, the guy behind the desk gets up and starts heading towards asher.
"don't you dare say another fucking word," he growls.
i finally got a view of the guy working behind the desk. he was pretty built, don't get me wrong. you could definitely see his arm muscles along with his leg muscles. there was no doubt in my mind he didn't have a 6 pack.
"why shouldn't i say another word? don't you think she deserves the truth?" asher asks.
"yes, but not like this," the guy responds.
"oh really? where is jacob anyways?" asher says with a smirk.
"i'm right here"
i look around until i see jacob walking towards us. sweat drips down his forehead, his hair is messy but still looks good as always.
"jacob?" i question in confusion.
asher starts to laugh. "silly girl. that's not jacob. that's Jax Ace."
