Chapter 7

Adeline POV

"How the hell do you tell them apart?!" Jacob exclaims. I laugh a little at his outburst.

"you just do," I tell him. I look outside the passenger side window and stare up at the sky. it was a waning crescent currently, but it looked beautiful. the stars lit up the night in a way so beautiful that it was so hard to describe.

"where are we going anyways?" I ask Jacob as I turn towards him.

"we can go to my place if you'd like. I can get you clothes and you can sleep in the guest bedroom," I answers with a quick glance at me. I nod my head, pulling my knees on the seat with me sitting criss-cross. I look over towards Jacob, noticing every feature of his face. he has very plump pink lips that looked so kissable. he was slightly tan, making his brown-green eyes stand out. I noticed his pink cheeks and how the pinkness was splotchy, making him unique. i noticed his hair, how he used gel to stick it upwards and how it was highlighted with blonde. his hands were fairly large, knowing that it probably felt amazing to hold him hands.

"that'd be great," I respond to him with a slight smile.

"here's makeup remover, face wash, towels, a brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, and i'll bring in clothes when you're in the shower. there's shampoo, conditioner, and soap in there," he tells me as he sets everything down on the sink in a organized manner.

"my goodness Jacob," I say as I laugh a little. "you didn't have to do all this," I tell him.

"just thought you might want to freshen up well after what happened. you know, like make you feel better about yourself," he responds with a smile, and his cheeks turning a bit more red than before.

"thank you," I say under my breath as I give him a hug. I hear him mumble a 'you're welcome' as he hugs me back. he pulls away and walks out of the bathroom.

I walk over to the shower and notice that it's not that hard to turn on. all I had to do was turn the nob and water came out. I slip off my clothes and carefully step into the shower. the warm water touches my skin making me flinch, but a couple seconds later I adjust to the temperature. I wash my hair and body quickly, not wanting to waste their water. I turn it off as I open the shower curtain and grab the towels. I dry off my body and wrap that around me, using the other towel in my hair. I head over to the sink and use a makeup remover wipe to take off my messy makeup.

*knock knock knock*

i slowly open the door, gripping my towel around my body.

"um, here you go," Jacob says as he hands me a bag, along with clothes. i grab them from him and smile as i shut the door. i noticed him eyes weren't staring at the towel, they were look directly into my eyes. i set everything on the counter as i start to wash my face. i dry it off as i look over at the bag, noticing it was a pink bag.

"no freaking way," i whisper to myself. i always knew there was a victorious secret and pink close here, but i never expected him to go out and by me this. i pull out the underwear first, seeing that it hand the pink logo all around the waste band and see that the main color of it was blue. not a navy blue, a little lighter than that. next i grab out a sports bra, seeing it was the same color as the underwear. one last thing in there was a regular bra in navy blue. i look next to the clothes next to it. i liften up the first item, a sweatshirt that was wayyyy too big for me, therefore i assumed it was his. i then lifted up a pair of nike shorts with the tag still on them. they were blue with a outline of yellow, and the sweatshirt was black and white. i smile and slide on my new clothes, taking in the scent on the sweatshirt. i lastly brushed my teeth, making my breath minty fresh.

I step out of the bathroom and into Jacob's room. I had showered in Jacob's bathroom only because there was not one in the guest bedroom. I see him on his bed texting someone. I slowly walk over to him and sit next to him.

"oh, you're done!" he says as he turns off his phone and smiles.

"yea," I respond with a giggle at the end. he was obviously trying to brighten my moon, which made me feel great.

"so i'm guessing you're tired?" he asks.

"just a bit," I tell him as a yawn. he smiles and gets up, motioning for him to follow him. he walks out his room and into the guest bedroom. it was quite nice.

"here you go," he tells me. I walk in and start to get under the covers, moving the pillows around so im comfy.

"do you need anything right now? water? snack?" he asks.

"if you could get me my phone that'd be great," I tell him and smile. he smiles and walks out the room. quickly he was back with my phone and a charger.

"thought you might want to charge your phone," he tells me as he plugs it into the outlet next to the bed and plugging my phone in, handing it to me.

"thank you so much Jacob," I tell him with all my heart. no one was as sweet as him. not even Austin.

"you're going through a hard time right now. it's the least I can do," he assures me. I smile and snuggle into the covers a bit more as he walks out and shuts the door behind him. I grab my phone and start going through the notifications. most of them were from asher, some from Austin and some from Hayleigh. even a couple from Elle. I open up Asher's first, seeing I had the most from him.

adeline, are you okay?

hello? adeline! answer!

are you safe?

you left off with a stranger!

answer me!

c'mon adeline

you have to answer!

im worried sick!

please!

Asher, i'm fine. stop worrying

I check out my next messages. I decided it would be Austin, I wanna see him try to explain himself.

when I left.

I decide not to check the rest. I was way too tired and needed sleep. I turn off my phone and place it under the pillow. I cuddle into the covers and fall asleep.
