Barrys pov

I held my head in my hand as I looked at Gen - she was so fragile, and she did not remember me.

She had fallen asleep with the help of a sleeping drug that Caitlin injected in her without Gen noticing. Gen had been here for about a week now - and all she did was throwing tantrums and asking us where she was. She had not gotten better physically - on the contrary, she had gotten worse. Caitlin didn't know what to do or how long she would last. I really missed my Genevieve.

A lot had happened while Gen was here without her memory. Jessie had been captured by Zoom, there had been more meta-attacks, we went to earth 2 and took Jessie home, Zoom had taken Caitlin and brought her back to us.... Then he took my powers.

Since she lost her memories I had decided to be the one who watched her - since it was the only thing that I wanted to do at the moment.

Suddenly her body began to shake - she started sweating like crazy. I got up and I tried to help her - but there was nothing I could do. "NO ,NO ,NO - stay with me Gen!", then... her heart stopped.

I tried to start her heart with a shock again but it was too no use - she was gone. I felt how tears started welling out of my eyes as I stroked her forehead with my hand. " Please don't leave me, please", I nuzzled into her neck and held her in my arms. Then I saw a light.

I backed away from her body as It started to glow - it started by the roots of her hair and then it spread. Then suddenly - she gasped for air and the glow faded. I speeded up to her and looked into her eyes. "Hey, hey - you're okay. I'm here, you're okay", she looked at me with so much happiness in her eyes. Her eyes looked into mine and she let out a tired laugh - I looked down at her and smiled through the tears that were still threatening to leave my eyes.

"Barry, I - I... I remember. I remember!", we both smiled like cheshire cats as I hugged her close to my body and breathed out in relief. "I have missed you so much!", said I as I held her body close to mine. Then suddenly she started going limp in my arms, I looked down at her to see that she tried to stay conscious.

She took a tight grip off my arm and looked up at me - "I'm okay, it's just - Zoom, he's got my powers. Unlike you, my powers didn't come from the dark matter - I was born with them Barry. I just have to learn to live without them for a while. I think that when he took my powers - he took to much, so he took my memories with them. It seems as if a little bit must be left in me since my body repaired itself a little - and since I got my memories back", I looked down at her - confused. "How do you know that you were born with them?".

"When I was in Zooms layer - there was this man with a metal casing on his head. He could not speak because of the case but he could code. He coded one word to me...", I looked at her. I had also met this man and he coded as well, though that was when he coded 'Jay'. "What word?", she smiled at me. "Emiras", I looked at her and smiled down at her. "It is said that in the hidden language it means 'one of a kind'", I grinned at her and she grinned back at me.

"That is one thing that you truly are!", we both started to chuckle together - but I noticed how weak she was.

I took my thumb and stroked it over her cheek. "What did he do to you Gen?", she placed her hand on mine and held it tight in her small, thin hand as she smiled at me.

"That doesn't matter now - all that matters is that we're both okay and that we are going to save this world - together", I smiled down sadly at her as I took a deep breath. I took a hold of her hand and sat down on my chair again that I sat on before while I 'guarded' her.

"Genevieve, there is something that you need to know", she looked at me worriedly. I took a deep breath and looked into her eyes.

"You have been gone for one and a half month, including the time that you had your memories taken away from you. During that time - a lot have happened. For starters - my dad is back, we have been to earth 2 - Zooms earth, and just when we had returned back home - he came after us. I had no choice but to give him my speed... and now I need to get it back. I am not sure if I will survive it but I have to try Gen! I can't just let him win!", I looked into her eyes as she smiled weakly at me before placing her free hand on my cheek.

"It's okay - I understand, I would do the same. Though I will kill who ever creates the tools that you will need to get your speed back if that person kills you", I chuckled before I looked into her eyes and leaned in. We were getting closer and closer - my eyes were fixed on her pink lips before they crashed together.

Once we parted we rested our heads against one another. "I know that you have to do it - but please, stay alive for me Barry. I can't live without you", I smiled at her as I looked into her shining eyes. "I wouldn't dare to", then our lips crashed together again.
