*Christopher's POV*
Leaving her with Josh was one of the hardest things of my life. I had to walk away. Staying there meant I would go back on what I said. I was taking the higher road because she needed me to. I couldn't be there. I knew it was confusing her, the thing that happened with us and what was going on with Josh. I was the third wheel and it was not my place to interrupt something that would have been perfectly fine if I hadn't messed with it. All I can say is, is that Josh better not fucking hurt her. She doesn't need that.
I drove home that night, fulling intended on getting drunk. However when I got to my condo, Alexander was there, a file in his hand and leaning against my door. I didn't look at him as I unlocked it and opened the dor. I motioned for him to go inside before I followed and locked the door behind us. I brushed past him and headed to the kitchen to grab a beer.
"Tough night?" he asked, as he followed me. I opened the fridge and grabbed a beer in silence. I turned, popping it open and looking at him. He had a smirk on his face before he saw my look.
"Guess so," he observed. I rolled my eyes. "Anyways, I found the information you wanted on Evan." He slapped the file on my island. I opened it. A picture of Evan stared up at me before I moved it to the side.
A copy of his birth certificate was there. Social security number. A prom photo. Drivers license. A high school and college transcript followed. Current address, place of work, tax refund. Receipts from a strip club and a bar. What interested me the most was the marriage licenses behind those. I took it my hand, noting the person's last name was the same on both.
"Blackwell?" I asked, looking up. "He married Savanna?"
Alexander shook his head. "No. He got one for their wedding but it didn't happen. The other one is for her sister, Jane," he said. I looked at the license. It was issued a couple days ago. Behind it was a wedding announcement. Their date read March 14.
"He's getting married? Next month?" I asked, fury boiling inside me. "Then why the fuck did he show up here?"
Alexander shrugged. "I don't know but I know where he's staying," he said, pulling out a sheet of paper from his jacket. He handed it to me.

I pulled into the hotel parking lot, my anger barely contained. He was getting married and he comes here to get Savanna back? This fucker.
I parked and got out, ready to beat this guy to a pulp. You do not do that. Savanna's story wasn't hard to figure out, her reaction to my story, to him showing up, and the wedding licenses and announcement. Savanna and Evan were definitely a thing, an engaged thing. He probably hooked up with her sister and she walked in on them. I couldn't help but notice how similar our romantic pasts were.
I opened the hotel door and walked through the lobby, heading to the elevator. The receptionist didn't look up from his magazine as I walked past. Evan was on the fifth flour in room 523. I cracked my neck as the elevator doors opened and I headed to his room. I knocked on it softly.
