Sav's POV

"Oh, my god, Sav?"

I snapped my gaze to the voice from the door. The sight of this man took me away.

His dirty blond hair was mused, like he ran his hands through it multiple times and couldn't stop himself from doing it again. His grey blue eyes look at me with such love and intensity, I started to fidget in my chair. He had scruff layering his chiseled face, his dimpled chin prominent beneath the facial hair. From the white tee shirt and jeans he wore, there was no doubt in my mind that this man worked out and underneath the clothes was an absolute god. His lips parted like he was going to say something but I cut to the chase.

"I don't know you," I muttered. His face fell, the blood drained from his face and his eyes went between me and Sam wildly. Sam stood up and walked towards him, protectively blocking me from him.

"She doesn't remember you nor.... I think it'd be best if you left," she hissed at him. I hung my head and buried my face in my hands. I should remember him. I feel like I know him. Like I loved him. I know I shouldn't send him away.

"N-no," I stuttered, looking up. Both looked at me with wide eyes. "I don't remember, but I feel like I know you." The man in front of me smiled a heartbreaking smile and looked at Sam.

"Even if she didn't remember me, do you really think I could have left her? After everything?" he asked her. She frowned but didn't say anything. The man pulled up a chair next to me his eyes on Sam. From the corner of my eye I saw her mouth "You did once". He flinched at those words but didn't say anything. Instead he turned to me, gave me a big smile and asked how I was doing.

"I'm ok," I said. "I don't remember anything, but I'm not in pain, so I guess that's good." He nodded, a small smile one his lips. "I'm sorry, but what's your name?" He chuckled, sending a wave of desire through me and I mentally shook my head. Really Sav? You barely know him.

"My name's Christopher James, but you call me Chris," he said. I nodded.

"Were we on familiar terms?"

He laughed again, his eyes filling with hope. "You can say that." Sam gave him a stern look and I turned to her, my eyes full of the question I was about to ask.

"Did you two get along?"

Her eyes went wide. I knew she didn't expect that but she nodded. "For the most part we did. He made a few actions I disagreed with, but yes, we got along, for your sake of course." I nodded, my brow furrowing at the mention of me in her answer, and turned back to him, ready to ask him another question, but the nurse came in.

"I'm sorry but visiting hours are over," she said. I objected.

"Can't one of them stay?" I pleaded. I really didn't want to be alone in here. I didn't know if I was going to be able to process everything.

She sighed and nodded. "Only one."

"I'll do it," Chris said quickly, right as Sam was about to answer. She gave him a mean look but turned to me, her eyes softening.

"Do you want him to stay?"

I nodded slowly. "I guess. I mean I knew him right?" She nodded and leaned down to give me a hug.

"I'll be in the lobby like always. Have Chris come get me if you need me or Kate," she said. Then she kissed the side of my head before she gave Chris a look and left. Chris chuckled as he sat down. He took my hand and I jumped, my hand coming up to my chest.

"I'm sorry," he said quickly. "I'm just...We were... I'm sorry." He hung his head.

It was a moment before I spoke. Truthfully I jumped from the sparks that raced up my arm and I pulled my hand away before I could do anything I regretted, like kiss him. I still didn't know how he fit into my life. "I-it's ok," I said, before I took his hand, noticing the electricity racing up my arm. He smiled and brought my hand to his lips. I watched awestruck as his rough but soft lips touched my skin. My cheeks flamed up and he noticed, though he remained silent. He lowered his head after a moment.
