Coming for You

Chris's POV

Alexander made it to my place within the next ten minutes of me arriving. When he knocked, I threw open the door and let him in. He had his computer bag and a duffle bag on his shoulders as he made his way into my place. I shut the door and followed him. He went into my living room, which contained nothing but covered furniture. I didn't do anything when I got here, just paced and raged within my head. He set the bags down on the coffee table and unloaded his laptop. The top of the silver thing glinted in the light. It was my only way of getting to her. Cops were too slow and Alexander was the best at finding people who didn't wan to be found.

"He has her right?" he asked. I grunted my answer. "Damn. When you told me you were leaving to keep her safe and all the shit that happened in England, I never thought he'd be able to find her here. Ya know? I did everything I could to keep her safe and anonymous. Talked to her boss to keep her info private despite everything. Paid him well too. Josh was a bonus."

I growled at him. That asshole had no claim to my girl whatsoever, despite what the loser said. He hasn't been to see her because I convinced Sam that it wouldn't be in the best interest for Sav and she put him off of the visitor list. Alexander shook his head, lifting the screen up and starting it.

"Chill dude. He was an ex cop. Retired after his wife died and he has a black belt. Not to mention, he's trained with guns and how to keep people safe. He was a good thing for Sav at the time and I hate admitting that. He knows about the entire thing. Told him shortly after Sam told me Sav was dating someone and I half hoped that it would scare him away from her. It failed. He just stuck around longer."

He stared pecking away at his keyboard, his eyes glued to the screen. "This bastard should be caught soon. I plan on kicking his ass thoroughly after we find him. Sav is like my little sister and I'm one hell of a big brother." He glanced up at me and smirked.

"You look like shit. Go to sleep."

I shook my head and moved to open the duffle bag. "Yeah I should, but that's not happening. Not until she's in this damned building, not until I have her in my arms again and that asshole is dead," I snapped while I unzipped the bag. "There is no way I'm going to sleep until that happens. He's taken too much from my family already." I took an appreciative glance through contents of the bag. Multiple guns, mags, a knife or two, a tazer, pepper spray, and a hand grenade.

"Where the fuck did you get a hand grenade dude?"

He shrugged. "I know people."

I nodded and set the bag down. "Apparently so." I took out the guns and started to check the chambers. I loaded and cleaned them with the stuff I found at the bottom of the bag. Alexander got me into guns in my college days and we learned practically everything about them together so it was old habits that led me to easily clean the weapons. I occupied myself with this while Alexander pecked away at his computer, trying to find my girl. Once I finished with them, I put them back in the bag and got up to stretch my legs. I made two cups of coffee and took one back to Alexander. He took the cup without looking up from the screen. He sipped it for a moment or so before setting it down next to the computer.

"Ok," he said, turning the computer towards me to show me the screen. It was the hospital, the blue walls and distinctive doors gave it away. "This is the camera right outside Savanna's room." I nodded. "Ok, this is an hour before you showed up. It's 4 o'clock and a nurse should be coming to give Sav her medication."

Right on cue, a nurse appears and goes in Sav's room. She comes out a moment later and waits for someone. She keeps fidgeting and looking up and down the hall. Definitely waiting for someone. A doctor comes by and she talks to him for a bit before he leaves. Then he shows up. My bastard uncle, Charles. They talk for a moment and it looks like he's telling her what to do and where to go. Then the nurse leaves while my uncle goes in to the room. He comes out right as the nurse comes back with a wheel chair. Sav is in his arms, drugged out of her mind and as limp as a noodle, and he puts her in the wheel chair and walking away.

"So that's how they got her out," he mumbled. I shook my head. That was a lot harder to watch than I thought it would be. It broke my heart, or what was left of it, to see how I failed to protect her and keep her safe. I had to wipe my eyes to keep from crying and I forced myself to be strong, I had to be to get her back and keep her away from him.

"How come no one stopped them?" I asked, my anger boiling up again. They took her right from under their nose and no one so much as batted an eyelash at them when there was plenty of peole to notice. The nurses and doctors walking past. God damn it, how could he get her out so easily?! He nodded.

"They took the back way," he said.

The screen switched to a different position and I watched my uncle and the nurse escort Sav down the hall. A cop stopped them part of the way there. The nurse talked to the cop while my uncle went on. The cop nodded and was handed some money. They took her out of the hospital, each time they got caught the nurse would explain something and then hand them money. Fucking payoffs! They pushed through the last doors, out where the EMS trucks came in, where a truck waiting for the trio and my uncle lifted her up and set her in the truck before getting in himself. The nurse joined him and they left.

I growled and leaned back, before I got up. My anger was through the roof. How dare he take her from me? After what we've just been through? I haven't been back for two bloody weeks and he's already fucking my life up! I shouldn't have come back! Look at what she's been put through! Because of me! Because of him! I'm going to kill him. I swear to God i'm going to kill that stupid fucker. No one is going to take her away from me like this and get away with it. I'm going for his fucking blood this time. Screw the courts, the cops. I'm getting her back, my way.

"I managed to follow the truck up until Oklahoma City. They went through downtown, which was harder than I thought would be to follow them and then they went into this little town. Then I lost them when they took a back road behind some farms. But I know which one it is," he said. I nodded.

"Good."

Alexander left to go do some things with his girl (he said it was along the lines of apologizing and telling her goodbye) while I took a shower. The water was scalding, but it kept me awake. I haven't fully slept since the accident and now there was no way in hell I was going to sleep, knowing that fucker has her. I wasn't going to go to sleep until I got her back in my arms and even then, it'll be after the door's locked, our door barricaded and a gun at my side and a knife on the bedside table.

There is no way in hell I was going to let her go again. Not after now.

But it is my fault she got dragged into this. My dad warned me that this might happen if I came back. But when I found out she was going to have a baby, I had to come. I couldn't let her raise our child by herself. Granted she wasn't really alone, but still. A child needs to have both parents. And it gave me an excuse to come back to her. I missed her soo much. I felt like my soul had been missing a piece of itself since I'd left. It was horrible and I thought that week apart was rough. Ha. It had nothing on this.

I got out and dressed in a pair of jeans and a tee shirt. I packed a bag and threw it into the living room while I went through the guns again. After I checked on them, I got more coffee. Soon Alexander called me to let me know he was here and I exited my apartment. I threw both bags in the back seat and we were off.

"I'm coming for you," I muttered and this was a promise I intended to keep even if it killed me.
