11 | I have to do this

Jays POV:

I grab Nani from the tub and quickly grab a washcloth and wipe down her arms. Tears streaming down my face , I manage to get my phone and dial the ambulance.

"babygirl cmon please wake up." She was just laying there life-less.

"Nani." I shake her. "Please" This damn ambulance needs to hurry the fuck up.

I run into her part of the closet and grab a pair of sweatpants along with one of my sweatshirts and change her so she isn't in wet clothes. I sit back and look at her. This is the second time she has attempted and its because of me..

3 ambulance nurses ambush through the bathroom and pick Nani up off the ground and lay her across a stretcher. One of the nurses mumbles into her radio "54-7 suicide"

fuck.

I follow them out into the ambulance. Before I could hop in along with her a man stops me "family only."

"im her boyfriend." I push him out of the way and climb next to Nani. My eyes study her. I just want to hear that laugh I fell in love with. I wanna be able to tell her how beautiful she is. I wanna show her as much love and affection as possible. I just want to start over..

I got lost in my train of thought because as soon as I regained focused we were at the hospital.

Doctors came rushing out. It all happened all so quickly. Nobody noticed I was there. I watched as they ran her down the hallway until the moving figures were no longer visible.

4 hours later:

4 hours. Its been four fucking hours and I've still heard nothing. My phones at the house so I've just been starring at the wall this whole time.  The nurse at the front desk has been flirting with me and its hella annoying. Im not here to fuck some hoes. I am here for Nani.

"Family of Nani Ortez?" a tall bulky man spoke looking up from his clip board.

Immediately I popped up. 'Thats me."

He motioned for me to follow him. I did. We walked into Nanis hospital room.

"You are the boyfriend?" he asked.

"Uhh yes I am."

"Ahh okay. Nani is in severe condition. Im glad you found her while u did or else she would really be gone. She is in a coma at the moment. There is a high chance of her not making it. But there is a chance of her making it. Its all up to Nani. She just has to push."

I was left there speechless. The doctor left me by myself with Nani in the room because i pretty sure he could tell i was thinking about something. I went down and sat down next to her.

"babygirl.." I grabbed her hand. "Words cannot explain ho sorry i am. I never meant for this to happen. I don't deserve you and because of me I might never have you in my arms again. I really am a fuck up. Maybe Geneva was right. I would be better off locked away. Safe from hurting anyone else I love." I didn't notice but tears were streaming down my face. Quickly I jot down a letter for Nani explaining everything so she won't be confused when she wakes up. She WILL wake up. She has to. Right?

I take one last look at her and kiss her forehead before leaving the hospital and calling an uber to drive me to the police station. I have to do this.
