Nanis POV:

I was just as surprised as Jahseh when I realized we encountered again. A part of me is worried. I don't want to fall in love again. More the less get abused again. Jahseh does have anger out spurts here and there which also worrys me. Deep down I want to believe he has changed. I guess we will just have to see.

The car ride back to his house wasn't as odd as I expected it to be. We talked about music , tattoos , even about cars. These were the type of conversations I missed. Before I knew it we arrived at his house.

"Damn Jay this is nice."

"Thanks youuuu." he dragged out. We walk in and immediately my noisy ass starts looking at everything. His house is pretty clean surprisingly because when we lived together before everything happened , he wasn't technically the cleanest person.

"Make yourself at home I gotta go set up the spare bedroom since I couldn't really plan ahead."

I plop my lil ass on the couch , resting my head on the armrest. My eyes graze my body.. looking at all the cuts and scars that have formed the past few months. I focused on one particular. On my outer upper thigh. A thick dark purple splotch had taken up a large amount of my skin. Memories flooded back from the night it all happened. Ty was mad because I fell asleep and didn't do the dishes. He was screaming at me calling me a lazy bitch and much more. I flinched remembering how he hit me with the bat. 

"Nani you good?"

I shook my head returning out of a daze. "Yeah I'm good."

"Follow me I will show you your room."

I followed Jahseh down a long narrow hallway until we reached a black door on the right. He opened it and motioned for me to enter. When I did I was surrounded by  a black canopy bed with fluffy white sheets. Plants lined across the window seal adding some color to the room. Two night stands accompanated the bed. A black dresser sat right infant of the bed maybe 3 feet up.

"Thank you so much Jay."

"Your welcome the bathroom is down the hall about two doors down on the right. And tomorrow we are going shopping you need some clothes. Pick out whatever you want. But for now I laid out a sweatshirt and sweatpants for you to sleep in because I'm assuming you don't want to sleep in that dress."

"I can't thank you enough Jahseh. I really mean it."

"Goodnight Nani." He left my room and I closed the door behind him.
