He didn't speak.
I watched as he wavered over to my bed, fiddling with his thumbs. He sat in the chair where Ponyboy sat before him, beside my bed. I swallowed, "How've you been?"
For a minute he didn't say anything, "I'm so sorry." He said, and I watched his eyes flood. "This is all my fault."
"Dal-"
"No, Y/N. I can't believe you did that." My eyes studied his, my lip quivering. I noticed him shaking more than I already was. "You're such an idiot." He joked, but it only made more tears fall down his soft cheeks.
"And why's that?"
"You saved my life."
I swallowed again, taking a breath, "I love you."
He looked up at me, "I love you too."
