*****Karen's POV*****
Adan drove me to the urgent care and we signed in. The secretary told me that the wait would only be a few minutes. She was wrong. Our wait was a couple of hours. I sat next to Adan for the whole wait except for when he went to the rest room. While he was gone, I went to go drink water. When I came back to my seat, I got serious cramps. A random 40 something year old guy came up to me and asked me, "Soooo. Why are you here young lady?" "Excuse me?"I questioned him as I winced from the pain. "Why are you here?", he snickered. His eyes bore into my brain and his face demanded an answer."I-I'm ha-aving cramps." I cried.
When Adan walked out into the hallway, he heard my cries of pain. He immediately started to run to me."Yeah right kid. You are not good at lying. Now why don't you tell me why you are really here?" the man growled. "SHE HAS A HERNIA FOR GOD'S SAKE! NOW GO AND LEAVE US ALONE OR YOU WILL BE THE ONE IN THE URGENT CARE!" Immediately the man walked away.
"Oh my gosh Karen are you okay?" Adan questioned me. "C-cramps." I whimpered. Adan sat me on my his lap, cradled me in his strong scrawny arms and rocked me like a baby until the doctor called. Once I was called, I was able to walk without any pain. The doctor was a woman. her name was Dr. Guerrero. She introduced herself and then with a kind tone in her voice, she asked us "What is up with you guys?" None of us gave her an answer then she asked me if i would tell her if Adan was out of the room. I nodded yes and then she said,"Can you exit the room? Don't worry, you can sit on the chairs outside of the room." With that Adan exited the room and then she turned to me. I knew she wanted an answer. "Tell me what's hurting you." I felt so guilty that I started to sob and I answered,"I,m sorry! I-we didn't mean to! We got too caught up in the moment! I'm sorry!" She understood what I meant. "Hey, don't worry. It happens. Now, do you want to have a pregnancy test?" I simply nodded yes and she took a urine sample and let Adan back into the room.
"The results should at around 5 pm.", Dr. Guerrero informed us both as Adan hugged me. We both left thanked the doctor and left the room.
