Unexpected

Day 1

*****Adan's POV*****

I awoke to a door slam. When I looked at the other side of the bed I saw the blankets ruffled. I knew Karen had morning sickness. I then decided to go after her. When I got off the bed though, she had alreay gone to the kitchen. She made a mexican-like breakfast that had scrambled eggs, beans, tortillas, and some squash. We sat down and started to eat. She only took one bite of the egg and she bolted to the restroom. I ran after her and opened the door. She was vommiting again. To be nice, I held her hair up. "Adan, If this is how it is gonna be for the next 9 months I won't survive." Karen said to me and then continued to vomit. I held my nose as she did so. While she vommitted, I was thinking about abortion and our kid. I decided to not bring the subject up because Karen was already having a bad day.

When she finished her breakfast, we sat on the couch and watched the morning cartoons. Around noon she told me"Adan, Can we go to the mall. I think I'm gonna become stir crazy if I dont leave the house." "Sure babe.", I replied as we walked to the car. We walked around through the stores and occasionally caught ourselves staring at baby items. Eventually it was 9 pm and Karen said, "Can we go home now?" " Of course. Lets go."

*****Karen's POV*****

We started to walk onto the parking lot and looked for the car. We spotted the car and directed ourselves to it when a couple of guys yelled out to Adan saying, "HEEEEEEEEY ADAN! YOU UP FOR TONIGHT?" Adan spun around quickly and when he saw who they were, he said, "Shut up." "Adan what is he talking about?" I asked Adan. He replied, "Don't listen to him Karen." The guy noticed that he was with me and then he yelled, "OH SO YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OUR FRIENDSHIP?!? WE CAN INVITE HER TOO IF YOU WANT! SHE MAY MAKE TONIGHT BE MUCH FUNNER!" Adan gave them the death stare, refused again and we got inside our car and drove away.

The ride was quiet until we got home. When we pulled up to the drive way, I asked him,"Babe? Who were those guys?" "No one. Don't worry." "Don't worry.....DON'T WORRY!?! HOW AM I NOT SUPPOSED TO WORRY!?! THEY EVEN OFFERED TO TAKE ME WITH THEM JUST SO YOU COULD GO! SERIOUSLY? TELL ME WHAT THEY WANTED?" "Babe, don't put stress on yourself. Please?  Just breathe, you know stress is bad for you and ......" "You are right. Sorry. Can you please tell me what they wanted though?" "Ok. Sit down. I don't want you to freak out." I sat down on my bed and he started. "It was the last day of junior year when those guys were texting me that they wanted to invite me to do drugs. While they tried to persuade me, I got a text message from you. When I read the message, I noticed that you werre way more important and make me feel better than any drug can make me feel. I declined their offer. I guess that they thought I might of changed my mind when they saw me. Please don't be mad Karen." "Don't worry. I'm not. Just promise me that you won't keep anything as a secret from me again." "I promise babe." With that we fell asleep.
