The Results

We drove home at around 12 pm. 'And now another 5 hour wait.', I thought, but truly time went by fast. Suddenly 4:45 came around and we drove to the hospital. We signed in and were brought to an office. We had to wait for a couple minutes. During that time, I looked at the plaque on the desk. The plaque read "Dr. Martin Kofe". I looked at Adan and he looked back at me. We were about to say a word when a man walked into the room. "Hello. I'm Dr. Kofe", the man introduced himself with a heavy African accent. "Excuse me, but where is Dr. Guerrero?" "Dr. Guerrero had to run some errands and she entrusted me to tell you the results. Now Ms. Karen, I understand the had a urine sample sent to the laboratory for a pregnancy test. The results came out positive."

*****Adan's POV*****

'Shit. Shit.', I kept thinking. "So doc, Is there any thing we need? Are there any rules?", I questioned him calmly and sternly. "Of course there is! She needs to take pre-natal vitamins, no drugs, no drinking, no chocolate, no caffeine, blah blah blah blah........."

Immediately after leaving the office, we went to the pharmacy and then walked to the car. I walked slowly, hugging Karen and thinking 'Wow! Im gonna be a father!'. While thinking this, I looked down at Karen and she just walked with  no expression on her face.

Once we got home, she just sat on her bed. I walked into her room and asked her,"Karen are you ok?" She looked me in a helpless way and started to cry. "Adan what are we going to do? When my parents find out they will kill you and then me! What are we going to do?" She kept on sobbing and then got tired. I told her that we could talk about that tomorrow. She nodded and fell asleep. I was awake for another hour thinking about what we should do. The first option was evident. Abortion.
