Jessie's P.O.V
I was laying on my stomach in my messy room. I drew always to pass the time. I never really was a good drawer, but as people always say, it takes practice. My family and I lived in Green Garden's, a little town in the country side. It was lonely sometimes for me because I was the only kid in the neighborhood. I always dreamt that kids someday would come move in beside us. But I knew only time would tell.
My eyes grew heavily and I was about to let them close shut, but then a beep beep sound made my eyes flutter open. It was the sound of Moving Trucks. Trucks that carried cargo of people's when they move. I quickly rose up from my stomach and ran towards the window. Out the window, there were Moving Trucks. I slept in the attic because I wanted the room. It was peaceful up here.
As I looked out the window, I saw a family exit a minivan. A tall man with light brown hair stood stretching his arms while he stared at the house next to ours. A woman with blonde flowing long hair stepped out after. She had a big stomach, so maybe she's pregnant. Then followed by her, a boy with brown shaggy hair. He stood beside his mother, staring around the neighborhood. He probably was amazed by the country.
After a while admiring the two-story house, the family went inside followed by a couple of men carrying boxes that contained their cargo.
Inside me, I felt butterflies because I finally get to have a friend. A boy to be exact. I just had to wait until he goes outside again. I'll need to take my chances to talk to him.

I kept staring outside my window to see if he went outside his house. But, so far, he didn't. I didn't know why. A while has passed and I saw he did finally go out for once. I quickly ran down the stairs of my house and out the door. My parents were already outside talking to the parents of the boy's. They were on the yard, talking about business or some sort. The boy was sitting in his porch, petting a dog. The boy's parents looked at me when I rushed outside the door.
"Ah, here comes my daughter! Say 'hello' to the Janson's." my father said. He gave a smile and gestured to me towards the Janson's. I stared at the tall man. He stood tall and I had to arch my neck to look up at him.
"Hi. I'm Jessie Sanders." I answered politely. I peered behind him to see of the boy was looking at our direction, but he wasn't he was too busy petting his dog and laughing.
"Such manners." he said followed with a chuckle. He looked beside him where his wife was listening to our conversation.
"I know. I'm Mrs. Janson." she answered with a sweet smile. Her eyes were a deep green and were filled with gentleness. "Oh! I'd like to introduce to you our son." She turned half-ways and called out towards the boy.
"Andy! Come here! I'd like you to meet someone!." The boy looked up and ran towards us. I already felt a smile spread on my face. I watched him run and stop just a few feet besides his mom. The mom crouched down and whispered in his ear. The boy nodded and smiled at me. He ran inside his house and a few minutes passed and he held a flower in his hand.
