Chapter 24: Karaoke?

Marco's POV

Holy sh-

I can't believe she actually agreed! This is going to be the best month of my entire life!
I guess we should keep it a secret since I don't want anyone bombarding us with questions about how we ended up being in a relationship. Hah! In your face Daniel! I got her first!

"so what now?" Star asked me. "You wanna go karaoke?"

"YES!" Star was excited. I laughed. Then we went to the nearest karaoke place we knew.

I rented a booth and the two of us sat inside. Star was first, she chose a song called "Primadonna Girl" by Marina and the Diamonds.

She started singing.

"Primadonna Girl. Yeah, all I ever wanted was the world. I can't help that I need it all. Primadonna life, the rise and fall.

You say that I'm kinda difficult, but it's always someone else's fault. But you're wrapped around my finger babe, you can count on me to misbehave. Primadonna Girl!"

She sang, and winked at me when she sang 'misbehave'. I blushed beet red. Who knew this is what kind of music Star listens to.

"I know I've got a big ego, I really don't know why it's such a big deal though"

I laughed. She sings really well. I just looked at her. She seems like she's enjoying it.

"Everyday is a chore chore chore!"

She acted like she was suffering. The fact that she's acting out every lyrics is very funny.

When she finished singing, it was my turn, I chose a comedic song, it's called "Ironic" by Bo Burnham.

The music started.

"My dog's stomach was very upset, so I put him in the car and we went to the vet, and on the way to the vet... I killed a cat.

Hheeeeeyyyyy yeah I said 'Isn't that Ironic?"

Star laughed histerically.

"I adopted a child from overseas to rescue him from child labor factories and on his very first birthday we went, to build-a-bear workshop...

Isn't that Ironic?"

I sang slightly chuckling. Star was laughing so hard but at one point asked "What's build-a-bear workshop?"

I laughed. I continued to sing.

"I'm a stand-up comic but I always sit and slouch! And I got my girlfriend pregnant on my sterile uncle's pull out couch"

I chuckled. Star gasped "MARCO! I THOUGHT YOU ALWAYS HAVE PROTECTION!"

"Star it's a song!" I was red like a freshly picked tomato

I eventually finished the song. We decided to sing a duet. We chose "Just Kids" by Alex and Sierra.

We sang the first chorus, we sounded good together.

"We're just kids settin' stuff on fire, we are we are we are. We are we are we are"

"I shouldn't tell you that I see through your dress.............drunken secret" (Witness the author who forgot the lyrics)

Then we started singing really deep and sad songs. First I sang "#Deep" by Bo Burnham again. Yes he was the guy we watched about earlier.

Then Star sang more Marina and the Diamonds. This time it's "Homewrecker"

"Every Boyfriend is the one. Until other one proves none. The good is never easy, the easy never good"

I feel like I could use those as quotes 'The good is never easy, the easy never good'.

"And I don't belong. To anyone~! They call me, Homewrecker! Homewrecker~"

She looked like it was meant for someone. The way she sang, it was like she was singing it for someone. I wonder who.

"I'm only happy when I'm on the run. I break a million hearts just for fun~ I don't belong to anyone. I guess you could say that my life's a mess- But I'm still looking pretty in this dre-e-ess...... deception~"

She made her voice raspy for effect, she was amazing. Then her voice came back to being sweet in an instant.

"When everything is life and death, you made me feel like there's nothing left. Instead of love, trust, and laughter. What you get is happy never after. But deep down, all we ever want is love- the pure kind. The one we always dreamt of"

She continued singing. When she ended I asked her something.

"Did you dedicate that song to anyone?"

"Yeah. To Tom. I don't know, I kinda miss the times we were together. The good times I mean" she smiled.

I felt a pang of jealousy. She misses Tom. "Star do you still love Tom?" I asked her. "No I don't. Frankly, Daniel reminds me of Tom. But doesn't have anger issues and he's human... at least I think he is" She said.

"Wait what?" "Nothing"

We went home. We got ready for bed, I escorted her in front of her room. Should I kiss her?

"Soooo...." she said quietly. I checked the time. 12:00 it read. Which means it's already tomorrow.

I kissed her lips softly.

She was shocked at first but eventually kissed back. Sparks started flying. It felt like it was only us. Fireworks were lighting up the sky. It was like time itself stopped.

It was amazing compared with how it felt with Jackie.

She pulled away. And immediately, I was back in reality.

"That was amazing" I told her. She blushed. I wanted more.

"Yeah" she giggled. "Can I get another kiss from my girlfriend?" I coed her while hugging her by the waist.

"Okay but this is the last one tonight" She said.

"Can I have more later?" I joked. "Just shut up and kiss me" she said as she kissed me. I smiled in the kiss.

We pulled away."Goodnight Star" I kissed her forehead. "Goodnight Marco"

She went inside her room. And I went to mine. I slept peacefully.

Star's POV

I went inside my room and flopped down my bed. We kissed. We actually kissed.

I'm satisfied.
