The Rose Mansion

Lisa Blake is a 15 year old girl whose family had moved to a new house better known as the rose mansion. Locals say the mansion remained closed for 200 years as the mansion was said to be haunted .There's also a myth that the garden of the mansion which contains  country's prettiest red roses are taken care by the ghost of mansion' s owner and whosoever pluck a rose from his garden would be found dead the next day.

"Mom" said Lisa happily "this house is huge". "It looks like a palace "said Ray Lisa's younger brother who is a year younger than Lisa. Looking at the house with wide eyes. "Tina" said Lisa's dad ."Yes" said Lisa's mom meekly looking scared. "Did you again took money from my purse"? he shouted. Ray looked tensed again dad is shouting in front of others he thought in his mind. "I am asking you something!" Can't you hear me? A tall looking man came forward. "I didn't took any money" said Lisa's mom. Liar! he shouted and grabbed her by her hair."Dad stop it"said Lisa "today is our first day in this house, don't do this. Hearing Lisa his dad let her mom go. Lisa's mom looked at Lisa with tears in her eyes and looked down. Ray looked at his father in disgust. "Let's go Lisa "and they went to their room.

"Lisa"said Ray. Why is dad always so angry with mom?."I don't know, some people lose temper very easily"said Lisa slowly.

"Mom food is very tasty"said Ray happily. His mom smiled at him. Lisa too smiled ,nowadays it has became a rare sight to see her mom smiled. "Yes today's food is fine"said Lisa's dad seriously. "Listen kids tomorrow you will go to your new school" and he looked at Ray firmly, "I don't want any complains from you" . "Yes dad"said Ray softly. Last year Ray was given a detention of one month as he broke an arm of one boy in a fit of his temper. "Ray too has temper like dad
,I hope you both of would control their temper looking at both of them. Ray and his dad looked at each other and then at Lisa. Without saying anything they continue to eat their dinner. After dinner everyone went to their rooms. "Ray,look isn't our room beautiful?said Lisa admiring the room. Ray didn't answer. He was looking at the window staring at the moon which looked like a white ball
"What happen Ray "? Said Lisa. To her surprise Ray' s eyes were wet. "I miss Tina, no one will replace her ". Tina was Ray' s girlfriend who last year died in a car accident. Since then Ray has became quite moody and gave emotional outburts. Lisa looked at Ray sadly. "It is not in our hands Ray " she said slowly.

Lisa was lying in her bed with her eyes open .She looked at Ray who was in a deep sleep. Irrational thoughts entered her mind and she looked at the wall ceiling thinking about her old friends , Dad's temper, teachers, classmates. There was an eerie silence in the room and Lisa wondered if the house really has something mysterious. She could not sleep as she is not at all feeling sleepy. She looked at her phone it was 1 am. She decided to explore the rooms. Holding a torch in her hands she moved through the corridor. The house is huge even bigger than a five star hotel. "No wonder it is called haunted"!murmured Lisa. She began to looked at different rooms .Every room has its own charm and eerines. There was no light in the rooms. The darkness of the house could shiver anyone's spine but not Lisa's ,she had seen more darkness in her life. Loneliness was her best friend .she was very quiet in her class even in her house. She has many friends but never had a best friend ,the girl she considered as her best friend too left her for another girl . She had very few male friends who only considers Lisa only as her sister only. Lisa had never ever felt the meaning of love. She had never seen it ,of course she heard about love but only in movies ,novels and some of her friends who had their boyfriends. She never understood love as she had seen only hatred,anger and fearfullness. Her parents never loved each other. She knew this bitter truth since she was five years old. When Ray was born ,Lisa was completely left alone by her parents. Her dad only loved Ray, of course he loved Lisa but she never felt it and her mom she is too weak to do anything even file for a divorce. She had faced countless beatings from him but always remained silent. "Silent"said Lisa to herself . The house has its own silence.
