Chapter 5 - STAY STRONG !

Riley's P.O.V.

"Mackenzie, so how was your stay so far ?" Ben asked. I looked at him and thought to myself. I have just been here one day. 

"It was great, I guess, since I just arrived here about two hours ago." I said, shrugging. Ben nodded. Jack and Jake came in. 

"MAC !!" They both shouted and almost tackled, I shouted. 

"AAA." Jack and Jake both took a step back and looked at each other then back at me. 

"What's wrong, Mac ?" Ben asked. I shook my head. 

"It's nothing, really, I was just surprised." Ben nodded, so did Jack and Jake before pulling me into a hug. Then Tanner came in with a cup of starbucks in his hand. "Oh my.. is that starbucks ?" I asked. Tanner nodded. "Where is it ? I'm craving for it." I said, sounding desperate. 

"Its in the mall." I frowned. "But I think Jack and Jake would love to take you there, right Jack, Jake ?" I looked to Jack and Jake, they both nodded happily. I smiled. 

"Alright, just give me 10 minutes." I informed the Double J. That's my new nickname for them. I quickly went to my room and wore my black legging, my Pull & Bear sweater and my flip flop sandal. I put my hair into a messy bun. I checked myself in the mirror and smiled when I was satisfied with my look. I grabbed my phone and my wallet, and went downstairs. "I'm ready !" I said to an empty living room.  "Oh wow, this is just great," I sighed deeply and walked toward the door. 

I want Starbucks ! The wolf inside me shouted. 

Well, you ain't getting one before I find that coffeeshop. I answered her. 

I was already in the open street, when out of nowhere, Jack and Jake jumped and shocked me to death. "BOO !" They shouted in unison. I jumped and quickly ran away to the opposite direction to where I was planning to go. But then stopped because of the uncontrolable laughed that came out from the evil twins. 

"Oh ha. ha. ha. real funny," I sarcasticly said as I walked back to their direction. "Why did you guys left me ?" I asked. 

"It was Tanner's idea." I stopped suddenly. 

"Why would.." 

"Before you think any negativity, Tanner wanted to see your bravery." I formed my mouth to an 'O' and then continued walking again. 

"So are you going to shift tonight ?" Jack asked, or was it Jake. 

"Yea, I guess so and I'm probably going to die since my mate not here." I said, a little bit disappointed.

River's P.O.V.

"So are you going to tell us why you are with that filthy girl ?" Summer asked as we sat on the meeting table. On the word 'filthy girl' my fist clenched. 

"Riley is not a filty girl. Why are you guys abused her anyway ?" I asked almost yelling. 

"She have no parents," Greg in ease said it. 

"Her parents died in the greates war of all time and she doesn't even know that her parents died." I told him. "And whats wrong with having no parents ? I didn't have a mother, she died together with RIley's parents." 

"Hey ! Don't yell at us, you did the same too." I was silent, yes I did too, but I regret it. And it was a wrong move. I nodded and just went to my room. 

What will happen when she shift tonight ?

Riley's P.O.V. 

"Oh my gosh, its been such a long time since I last drank Starbucks." I said as I took sips of my Hazelnut Signature Chocolate. Everyone was here, Tanner, Ben, Jack, Jake, Cole, Gerald, Kelsey and Cass. The peaps just laughed and we continued to talk about adopting a dog, when we are part of a dog. 

"The decision have been made, we are adopting a dog, each one of us gets one." Tanner said in a really deep voice. We all cheered and ordered another drinks.

On our way home, Ben walked beside me. "So you are going to shift tonight, ey ?" Ben asked. 

"Yea and I'll probably die too." Ben was silent but then smirk. 

"So did you have a great time before ?" He asked again.

"Hell yea, I have never been hanging out with--," I paused, reminding myself that this pack can't know about me being abused.  "oh wait nevermind yea I had so much fun and am really excited for the puppies." I said. Ben just chuckled. 

"Yea, me too." He said and we talked about random things. 

It was 11 : 55 at exactly 5 more minutes, I'll be shifting. And we are currently in the middle of the forest. To say that I was brave, it would be a lie, I was scared that I'll not be able to make it without River. I was shivering right in the middle of the forest with only a towel wrapped around me. Ben, Jake, Jack, and Tanner was there to keep me companied for the 5 minutes. 

We waited when suddenly it stung so bad. Someone was shouting, 'STAY STRONG MACKENZIE'. I urged, no, I forced myself to fight it, when suddenly I felt a hand wrapped around my body then there was a total darkness. 

Is this the end ?
