CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN | THE WEDDING 1

When I design a wedding dress with a bustle, it has to be one the bride can dance in. I love the idea that something is practical and still looks great. - Vera Wang

The wedding day

"What a beautiful day it turned out to be." Shaniece thought as she laid back in her big, comfy bed.

She decided to enjoy these last few moments of quietness as her maid of honor and bridesmaids still slept. Today was Shaniece's special day, as she laid there dreaming of her wedding that would be taking place in a few hours.

She was drawn back to reality when she heard "Here comes the money" on her phone. It was the ring tone of her brother, Shane.

Shaniece jumped out of bed, grabbed her phone, swiped the lock screen, and answered it. "Hello!" She answered the phone.

"Hey, sis!" Shane said.

"What's wrong? Did something happened to Brock?" She asked.

Shane thought it would be funny to play a joke on them. "Well, the kitten, I have bad news." He said as Shaniece got quiet and scared, as the worst was running through her head.

"Well, the guys and I went out last night, and let's say that Brock had way too much to drink. It took both Joe and John to carry him to our room, here at the hotel, last night." He said.

Shaniece was pissed. "I thought I told you guys to watch him!" She screamed into the phone. Shane tried so hard not to laugh because of how Shaniece was reacting.

"SHANE, WHERE THE HELL IS MY FIANCÉ! I WANNA TALK TO HIM NOW?" Shaniece was now into the yelling phase and was getting madder every second that Shane kept laughing.

Little did she know that Brock was in bed, also listening to the quiet sounds of snoring coming from Jon. He was thinking of his wedding day until he heard Shane talking to someone. He got out of bed, headed to the living room of their suite, and found Shane sitting at the breakfast bar, holding his phone away from his ear and laughing. He heard his fiancé's voice and knew it wasn't a good thing.

"Shane, let me talk to my girl," Brock said as he tried to reach for his phone. Shane pushed him away as he tried to listen to Shaniece go on and on. "Shane, is that Brock? Let me talk to him now, you asshole, and by the way, I'm telling mom." Shaniece said.

Shane couldn't help it anymore and handed the phone to Brock. "Hi, sweetheart, sorry about Shane. You know he can be an ass sometimes, right?" Brock said as he tried to calm Shaniece down. "Brock Edward Lesnar, you better not be drunk or hung-over right now," Shaniece said as Brock looked at Shane, who was cracking up and laughing.

"So that's what he told my girl." He thought as he went back to the conversation with his fiancé. "Baby listens. I'm not drunk or hungover. Shane was playing a trick on you. I only had two beers." He said.

Shaniece listened to Brock, and he didn't sound drunk or hung-over. "Shane, that was mean of him. You know I'm stressing over this wedding, and I want today to go perfect, you know." Shaniece said as Brock sat down, and he could imagine his little princess, sitting in bed, with her arms crossed, pouting over what Shaniece had done.

"Baby, don't cry, ok? I will deal with Shane and his dumb ass. "Baby, r u there?" Brock didn't hear anything until Nicole started talking. "Hey Brock, it's Nicole. Sorry about that, but she wanted me to tell you she will get you and your friends back for what they just did to her." Nicole said.
