CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE | PLANNING

"Shaniece, you've taken my sister away from me," Brie said.

"It doesn't look like you're sad about it," I said as we facetime.

"I'm not, but I just wanted to let you know that so, how's the wedding planning?" She said

"I'm not, but I just wanted to let you know that so, how's the wedding planning?" She said.

"It's going great even with the little time that we have to plan everything," I said.

"I still don't understand why you don't want to wait after the baby to get married," Brie said.

"I have millions of things going on and with my dad making drastic changes to the company. I won't have time to plan a wedding, and this is the perfect time to do it before I look like a giant whale." I said.

"Okay, I'll support your decision, but I want to see these purple dresses of yours," Brie said.

"You'll see them when you come for the wedding; anyways, how is Birdie doing in your belly?" I said.

"Amazing, I look like me ready to pop any day now, and I'm just so excited to meet her, and we just packed the baby bag for the hospital." She said.

"I'm so excited for you; trust me, once you hold birdie in your arms, everything you went through with this pregnancy will be worth it," I said.

"Shaniece!" Nicole yelled, coming into the room.

"Yes, Nicole," I said.

"I need your help with something." She said, laying down next to me.

"Oh, hey, Brie." She said, looking at my phone.

"Hey, Nicole," Brie said.

"Okay, what do you need help with?" I asked.

"Stephanie called me, and she's coming down tomorrow, but we're planning a baby shower slash bachelorette party for you, and we need a theme." She said.

"Breakfast at Tiffany's," I said.

"Like your favorite movie," Brie said.

"Yup, the theme is Breakfast at Tiffany's," I said.

"Perfect, I'll go call Steph and start planning. Bye, sistas." Nicole said, running out of the room.

"She's weird," Brie said.

"She's your sister," I said.

"She's your best friend," Brie said.

"I guess we're stuck with her then," I said.

"I guess so," Brie said.

"Nicole, I need your help," I said, pulling out my laptop.

"With what?" She asked.

"I'm trying to get Brock's kids here for the wedding," I replied.

"Do you think she's gonna answer your call?" Nicole asked.

"I don't know," I replied.

"Do you have her number?" Nicole asked.

"Yeah, I took it out of Brock's phone while he was taking a shower this morning," I said.

"You're so sneaky." She said.

"I'm dialing the number," I said.

"Put it on speaker." She said.

We listened as the phone rang.

"Hello?" A voice said, answering the phone.

"Hi, is this Rena?" I asked.

"Yes, this is she; who's asking?" She said.

"Hi, I'm Shaniece McMahon," I said.

"Oh, you're Brock's girlfriend." She said.

"I'm his fiancee," I said.

"Congratulations, but how can I help you?" She said.

"I know we may not know each other, but I was wondering if the kids could come to the wedding. I mean, I know the agreement Brock and you have over the kids, but I think it's important for Brock to have his kids there on a special day for him." I said.

"Did Brock put you up to this?" She asked.

"No, this is supposed to be like a surprise for him," I replied.

"I mean, the kids haven't seen their father in a while, and you sound like a nice girl surprisingly enough, especially when I remember the first time meeting backstage WWE when you got into a fight with Michelle McCool." She said.

"Thank you, and I thought you would be like your character," I said.

"A lot of people think that, but I'm not. Anyway, I'll think about letting the kids come to the wedding; by the way, when is it?" She said.

"April 24," I said.

"Oh wow, that's coming up soon. Okay, I'll have an answer for you by tomorrow." She said.

"Thank you," I said.

"Yeah, good luck on the wedding and dealing with Brock for the rest of your life; you seem to be the real one for him so thank you for making him happy again. Goodbye, Shaniece." She said.

"Goodbye, Rena," I said, hanging up the phone.

"That went better than I expected," Nicole said.

"What were you expecting?" I asked her.

"Baby momma drama." She replied.

"You're stupid, Nicole," I said.

"Yeah, maybe I need to stop watching Love and Hip hop because it's making me expect the worse out of situations. You know I almost wanted to throw some bread on Maryse in catering last week." Nicole said.

I laughed.

"Well, you gotta feed the birds," I said.
