*TWO DAYS LATER*

(Kaitlyn's POV)

I woke up, rubbing my eyes I was still confused about what happened a few days ago, the kiss. What did it mean? Are we dating now? I didn't know. I rolled out of bed and dragged myself across the room to the closet. Picking out one of my favorite outfits I put it on. This specific dress instantly made me feel so much more confident. Might I add, it was one of Max's favorites. I left my dorm walking to the main building. As I walked the only thing on my mind was the kiss. How his lips felt against mine, how perfect it was. I sat on the bench that now became "our" spot. I stuck my ear buds in my ear and shuffled through my songs, of course not picking one to listen to. I looked up for a few seconds and noticed Max. We shared a smile that was a mirror image. Together, we walked to vocals, side by side, not making physical contact, just talking about nonsense, as usual.

We walked into class and sat down next to one another, once again, as usual. Every class we had to take notes, I took mine out, per routine and noticed the hearts and his initials, scribbled all over the paper. Blushing, I scrambled to cross them out. I looked over at him and smiled the stereo typical school girl smile at her long time crush. He shook his head rolling his eyes at me, acting again, like my best friend.

Our professor walked in and began talking about everything. She took out work we had to do after school and scribbled some stuff on the board, notes for us to take. She was explaining everything she wrote down, and me, I was explaining to myself, in my head, everything I loved about Max; which was everything about him, I loved it all.

"Class," she began "we are having a project within your groups I assigned at the beginning of the semester." The entire room erupted in either cheers or sighs. Professor Maclean stood at the front of the room waiting for everyone to silence. At the beginning of the semester, she assigned us all into pairs to do singing projects, someway, somehow, Max and I were paired together. Finally everyone was quiet enough for her to continue.

"You and your partner will be performing a popular love song of today. You will pick the specific song out of a bucket. Your task will be to practice the song, on your own time. In the coming days, you and your partner will preform the song, for all of us." She spoke.

Once again sighs and cheers. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Max look over at me, and smiled slightly. I smiled back at him, trying to hide the amount of excitement I was feeling. Performing with him was the absolute best, but at this time it would be even better. Professor Maclean went in alphabetical order of who was picking the first song, three students were before Max and I.

"Miss Carter." She said perkily. I stood up walking to the bucket; I reached my hand in and grabbed ahold of a slip of paper. Taking in out I unfolded in, "Everything Has Changed, Taylor Swift featuring Ed Sheeran." I said aloud.

"Very good, get working." She said smiling at me.

"So we have this song to perform." I said to Max, slightly awkward. He nodded searching the lyrics on his phone. Once all the songs were chosen, everyone scattered out through the classroom to work.

(Max's POV)

I was overjoyed to be doing a project with Kaitlyn, especially now. I tried hiding my excitement, as Kaitlyn seemed slightly awkward. We worked on our songs and soon class ended. I walked out with Kaitlyn, we talked about nonsense once again, I could tell she was back to herself. I looked at her and all I could do was smile, I also desperately wanted to shove her against her the wall and fuck her right there.

"Back to my dorm?" Kaitlyn asked me smiling

"Sure." I said smiling at her

We walked back to her dorm, laughing and talking. I of course said something stupid just to see the beautiful smile appear on her face. He playfully shoved me laughing. She unlocked the door and dropped her bags. She started talking about something, all I could focus on were her lips. In my eyes, she was perfect. Yeah, cheesy, but it's true. Sure I hadn't exactly asked her out, but I figured the kiss said it all. She stopped talking and walked to the mini fridge getting out 2 waters. She tossed one to me, failing to catch it, it fell to the ground.
