SWHFantasy as SoNi

It was already past eight in the evening, the single mother and her son just arrived home from the daycare home. Life is becoming tougher and stressing for her everyday. After the death of her husband nine months ago, she decided to move out of the matrimonial home because she isn't stupid enough as to not differentiate between people who wants her around and those shooing her secretly away like a stray dog that has nowhere to go.

Well they're wrong, she has a house of her own even if it's not as luxurious as her previous home, she feels comfortable here with her four year old son.

"Put that down young man!",she snapped at her son who has the remote control in his small hands.

"I want to watch a drama, Eomma", he sulked when she snatched it from his hands.

"A kid like you mustn't watch dramas".

"That's why you are still single".

"What?", SoNi opened her mouth and gaped at her son surprised at his words", What does drama has to do with me being single?", she questioned him.

He stare at her and sticks out his tongue",You spoilt child!", she stretch out her hands to grip him but he was quick to run away from her.

"All my friends have fathers and mine is dead; You don't want to get married because you don't love me". He cried sitting next to her.

"Ken!" Tears filled her eyes watching the ones pouring down her son's cheeks.

"I'm sorry eomma", his small hands wiping the tears from her eyes", I just want to see you smiling like you used to when Appa was here. I want to have a father. My friends makes fun of me at school..... You aren't always there when I needs you. You are always busy at work and I spends the whole day in that daycare home...."

Her heart aches listening to her son's worries and sorrow, she embrace him tightly", Eomma is so sorry", she wiped his tears and showers his small face with kisses", I love you Angel!".

"Love you too eomma".

SoNi fell in the couch and turn the TV on to watch business times. Ken is already sleeping in her room. She had paid to get his room furnished since she already found a babysitter for him. She has posted on babysitters.net yesterday for one and a girl has replied to her accepting the job. And she is supposed to be here by now.

She looked at her phone, it's ten already. The babysitter will be moving in with them for two weeks due to SoNi office job which is mentally driving her crazy these days. She doesn't even get the time to spend a happy moment with her child. She calls herself the worst mom and she suit the name just fine.

She was wondering the reason why she is late, just then the doorbell starts to ring. She got up from the couch, putting on her slippers , she went to open the door.

The girl was standing at the door porch with her suitcase besides her, head covered in a hoodie facing the ground.

"You must be the babysitter. I'm Jung SoNi", she offered her hand to the figure wearing all black.

"SoNi!?", a voice familiar to her ears asked.

She must be hearing things now coz there's no way the owner of that voice is still on planet earth.
