One

A/N - Im changing Evie's age to two years old.

Chloe woke and sat up in bed. She had two year old Evie-Grace by her side. Chloe got out of bed quietly and went downstairs. 

Her older sisters Tegan and Leela were awake along with her younger sister Peri. "Mum and dad have gone early," Leela said.

Chloe nodded. She looked up when she heard a little giggle. "Evie. Come here," she said.

Evie ran downstairs to Chloe and climbed on her lap. "You're so cute."

"Oote?"

"Yeah."

Chloe held Evie close to her. Leela and Tegan could see how close Chloe and Evie were. They both knew what Peri didn't.

Chloe had just graduated University early. Chloe was now trying to find a job in her chosen career - Teaching assistant.

Evie toddled over to Chloe and giggled. "Out."

"You wanna go out?" Chloe asked as she picked up the two year old.

Evie nodded and giggled. Chloe got Evie's coat and shoes. She left the house with her. "Come on cutie. Let's see what mischief we can get up to," she said.

While they were out, Chloe bumped into Patrick Blake. Chloe found the older man quite attractive and thought there was something about him. "Sorry."

"That's alright. I've heard from your father that you're after a job?" Patrick said.

Chloe nodded and picked Evie up. "Yeah. I wasn't banking on graduating early but now i want a job. Hopefully to move out of my parents place," she said.

"Well I think I can help you. I've an opening for a teaching assistant and would value someone like you on my team," Patrick said.

Chloe walked home with Evie who had fallen asleep. Sam was there. "What?"

"Why wasn't she here when I got back?"

Chloe rolled her eyes. "Because she wanted to go for a walk and I'm not too sure if you remember but I'm her mum. Not you," she spat.

Sam glared and took Evie from Chloe. "How dare you? I look after that little girl more than you. The silly school girl who got pregnant at fifteen and now letting everyone else suffer your mistake. Do you think it's easy having a two year old to look after?"

Chloe sighed. "I just want to be her mum. Why is that so hard for you to accept?" She asked.

"No! You'll mess her head up if you tell anyone," Sam said.

Chloe spent the evening in her bedroom. She heard her bedroom door open and saw Evie toddle in. "Choe!"

"Hi cutie. Come here."

Evie toddled over to Chloe who picked her up and held her tight. Chloe was crying silent tears. She stroked Evie's blonde hair. "I love you so much Evie-Grace. You're the most precious little girl on this planet and no one will ever hurt you," she whispered.

"You be muma?" Evie asked as she pulled Chloe's duvet over her.

Chloe laid down with Evie and they fell asleep. All Chloe wanted was the chance to be her little girls mummy. It's all she had ever wanted.
