Seven

Chloe was beginning to miss Evie. She couldn't even see her which broke her heart. All she wanted was her baby girl back.

When morning came, Chloe woke in bed next to Patrick. He was sitting up on his laptop. "Morning."

"Good morning."

Patrick looked at her and put the laptop down. He straddled her and smirked as he ran his hands up her thighs. She pulled him close and kissed him.

Chloe knew that it was a distraction from Evie and missing her. Chloe moaned as he pushed into her. She pulled him close as he started to move in and out of her.

Chloe stood getting dressed and frowned as she looked at Patrick's laptop. She frowned at what she saw. Child custody order.

She looked up as Patrick walked in. "What's this? Is it for Evie?" She asked.

"No. That's going to take more work. It's for Ariel," Patrick said as he walked over to Chloe.

Chloe frowned. "What are you doing to Josie? She's her mum."

"She is struggling. Ariel is in danger I'm telling you now. I know my granddaughter is being hurt," he said.

Chloe looked at him in shock. She shook her head. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Josie loves Ariel. She would never hurt her. You're an idiot," she said as she walked out.

She walked out the flat and sighed. She couldn't stop thinking over what Patrick was planning on doing.

Chloe got back to the house and groaned as she saw Sam. She sat down on the sofa. Sam looked at her and frowned. "What are you doing here?" She asked.

So what? You're kicking me out are you? Evie is my daughter. You may have taken the fact that she's mine away from me. But I sure as hell won't let you cut me out of her life. As my mother you should understand that," Chloe said.

Chloe was crying. Sam looked at Chloe and nodded. "You can take her to the park for a little bit. I want her back in time for dinner. And you. I don't want you around those Blake's."

Sam knew that she would never be Evie's mum. But she knew that it could cost her. Her daughter and she wasn't going to risk that. Not when she learnt over Danny and John-Paul. And now they'd been having an affair. Sam was heartbroken.

Chloe sat in the park with Evie. She looked to her phone and sighed as she saw all of the texts and missed calls from Patrick.

She ignored them as she started to push Evie on the swing. "Chloe?" 

Chloe turned to see Patrick as he walked into the park. She looked at him and sighed as she walked over to him. "When someone doesn't answer your calls, it means they don't want to talk to them. It doesn't mean come and stalk them," she said.

"I need to talk to you. Something has happened," Patrick said.

"What is it?" Chloe asked as she checked on Evie who was sliding.

"Ariel. She's dead. I think Josie killed her," Patrick said as Chloe looked to him in shock.

She didn't believe it. But could she prove Josie was innocent?
