Chloe woke to see Evie sitting on the bed. She smiled and pulled the little girl under the duvet. "You're so cute."

"Ooo."

Chloe held Evie close. She wished so badly that she could be Evie's mum. She stroked Evie's blonde hair. "I love you Evie."

"Ove you," she said.

Chloe went downstairs with Evie. Sam took Evie from Chloe. "Why do you always do that?!" Chloe asked.

"Because, she needs her breakfast and dad is going to feed her," Sam said.

"I can feed her though."

Sam rolled her eyes. She put Evie in the high chair and gave her some breakfast. Chloe sat with her.

Sam went to work. Danny left the house with Evie. Evie went to a local day care centre. Leela looked at Chloe. "She's your daughter. Do something about that," she said.

"I can't Lee. Every time I try and discuss it, I get told that it'll mess her head up. I just wanna be her mum."

Chloe went for a walk around the village. She saw Patrick Blake with a teenage girl who looked a little younger than her. She walked over. "Hiya."

"Chloe. Hello. This is my daughter Josie. Josie, this is Chloe. A very good friend," Patrick said.

Chloe smiled at Josie. She looked at Patrick. "I've applied for the job at the school."

"Good. I hope you get the job," Patrick said.

Josie looked at Patrick. "Really good friend of yours? She's practically my age," she said.

Patrick glared. "Chloe is my friend. She's the daughter of a very trusted colleague of mine."

"Course. So you won't be sticking anything into her. I know you've got a thing for girls half your age," Josie said.

Before Patrick could react, Josie walked off.

Chloe carried on walking around the village. She stood outside Evie's day care and sighed. She wanted her so badly.

Instead of dwelling, Chloe walked back to the village. She saw Patrick. "Sorry if I embarrassed you in front of your daughter."

Patrick smiled at her. "You didn't. She's fond of you."

"Who wouldn't be? I'm amazing," Chloe joked. She grinned at him. "I'm serious though. I did apply for the job."

"I have input into the hiring and firing so I'm almost 100% certain they'll choose you," he said.

Chloe walked back home. She heard Evie crying. She ran inside quickly. "What happened?" She asked.

Evie toddled over to Chloe. Chloe picked her up. Peri came over. "Mum and dad keep rowing. They talk about you and Evie. But I can't hear what," she said.

Chloe nodded. She took Evie upstairs and plaited her  blonde hair. "You're so beautiful."

"Ike you?" Evie asked.

Chloe smiled and tickled her chin. She pulled Evie closer to her. "Me and you go ive somewhere else?" Evie asked.

Evie had fallen asleep in Chloe's bed. Chloe went down to get some food. Patrick was there talking with Danny. "You got the job Chlo."

"Right. That amazing."

Chloe walked outside and took a deep breath. Patrick came out behind her. "Is everything okay?" He asked.

Chloe nodded. "Yeah. Just wasn't expecting that I got the job. Didn't think I would," she said.

"Well you passed the interview which I wasn't informed that you had and you were clearly the best," Patrick told her.

Chloe smiled at Patrick as they talked. All Chloe could think about was wanting him. She hadn't wanted anyone else like how she wanted him before.
