Sawyer sat in his car. The rain overhead making a dull thumping sound. Tonight was a bad night for hunting was what he should have been thinking but instead thoughts of how scared Ben would be of the thunder were the only things that filled his head.

A sharp knock on his window drew him back out to the real world. The person at his door looked annoyed. Sawed rolled down his window and saw the business man look down at him.

"I'm sorry sir, but Sabre industries is closed for tonight." he said. Sawyer looked up at him and saw the shock grow on the man's face.

"Oh come along now Jared not even for an old fried." he said calmly.

"B-Briggs, why are you here? I thought you were done with us," he said clearly training to put the puzzle pieces together.

Sawyer just laughed. "Oh, so C.J. doesn't want my help anymore. I wasn't aware that your boss changed his mind a lot." he said playing along.

"Well I can tell him you're here, but I can't promise that he'll want to see you," Jared said grabbing his radio out of his pocket and speaking into it.

"Mr. Sabre, Briggs is at the gate asking to be let in. He says you sent him an email about it," Jared said keeping his eyes trained on Sawyer the entire time.

After a minuet he opened the gate. "Alright Briggs, go in. And please come of with your head still attached to your body," the guard said shaking his own head slowly.

Sawyer nodded and drove in. Once in the house he was led to a private office. There sat the person who had sent him an email.

"Hello Briggs," he said coldly. This caused Sawyer to laugh.

"Alright CJ drop the act, don worry I won't tell any of your dealers that you have a friend. Cause heaven forbid." he chuckled.

The man raised his eyebrow. "To be honest I'm shocked you came. After Emily I though we'd lost you for good."

"As if, I helped build this fucking company and I'll defend it as I once did. I just needed sometimes. By the way I love how you put a period between the C and J when signing now. Makes things seem so much more official." Sawyer said allowing a loose smile on his face.

Finally a smile appeared on CJ's face, as well as an eye roll. "Still dramatic as hell I see."

"As if I could ever loose it," he grinned, watching CJ carefully.

CJ was doing the same. "Sabre Industries still deals in weapons and drugs. Although officially and on paper its weapons."

Sawyer had to roll his eyes. "Yeah fuck head I didn't forget, who do you need dead. It's the only reason you called your favorite hitman," he grinned.

"I'll fax the details, but for now, tell me how you've been the last two years." CJ said standing. The man was much smaller than Sawyer.

"Don't forget that the contract still stands, and I know you hate this company, so make sure I don't die," CJ added, causing Sawyer to smile. "Oh I've change so much," he thought.

Sawyer just nodded and followed his old friend into the dinning room for a meal. He had sworn never to kill an innocent again, but here he was now. He had tried to make Emily's death an example to himself of how others felt when he killed their family members .

The only thigng it had done was make him want to kill even more. Once in the dinning room, he took a seat across the table from CJ.

It was awhile before either spoke. But it was Sawyer who broke the silence. "Looks like I'm right back in the hell hole again. Let's hope it works this time," he said with a sigh, but only one though filled his head.

My how the mighty have fallen.
