The End is Where We Begin

Two months had passed since Sawyer had gotten back together with CJ and Sabre Industries. Since then he had been on more missions than he cared to think of. But today he was extra sore.

The night before he had run a particularly tricky one tha had resulted in a broken rib and many bruised ones. So for most of the day he had limped around trying to hide his pain.

Not to mention the fact that he had to visit Cecilia today. She all better now and could leave now if she wanted to. But a part of him didn't want to tell her that for fear of her leaving.

Another problem was that she had scale eyes. Cecilia could read how he was feeling that day or he was hurt from a mile away. So he knew that she would pick up in his hurt ribs in not time at all. She would have made one hell of a doctor.

With a small sigh he pushed himself to his feet, and walked to where her room was. Not even bothering to knock on the door.

As always she was sitting on the bed and a smile grew on her face when she saw him. Jumping to her feet she gave him a quick hug. That made him want to throw up from the pain in his rib, but thankfully he was able to wince slightly.

She noticed and looked him in the eyes backing away. "Sawyer, what's wrong?" she asked calmly. At her words Sawyer felt his heart rate speed up the way it did when she touched him or he accidentally touched her.

"Oh it's nothing, Ben jumped on me yesterday. I'll tell you that kid is restless." he said putting on a smile that for once wasn't fake.

Cecilia gave him a look that made him want to die. She knew he was lying, but just as quickly as it came the look was gone once again replaced by a smile. But the though of her knowing about the double life he lived made him uncomfortable.

"Well alright then, tell the kid to be more careful for me." she said to him before talking again. "So Sawyer, how much longer till I can leave this place. Not that I want to or anything  but I just. Haven't been out since you a and your brother found me," she said with  small smile.

"I'll take you out to dinner tonight," Sawyer was shocked to realize that the words spoken had come out of his own mouth.

But her smile was way worth it. Her face lit up like the Fouth of July. "Would you really?" Cecilia asked brightly.

"Oh fuck you got yourself in deep this time," Sawyer thought to himself before answering her question. "Of course, it'll be good for me to do something than work tonight," he said giving her a small half smile.

"Oh god you're the best ever," she grinned looking tempted to hug him again. But she didn't and instead just walked to the mirror in her room. "How fancy shall I need to dress?"

"Well I was thinking something along the lines of very fancy, so I dunno a dress. I'm not a girl don't ask me those kind of questions," he said with a shrug.

"Well I'm sorry sir, it was just a question," she teased. Sawyer just nodded and started to slip toward the door. "Anyways I'll see you tonight than Cecilia. I'll be back at around six to pick you up," he said stopping at the door.

She just nodded and he took that as his cue to leave. Once in the hall he took a deep breath. He had done it, once again he would be taking a girl out to dinner.

Something he hadn't even dreamed of doing after Emily was killed, but here he was doing it anyways. All he could do was pray that it ended well. One though courses though his head like a river.

"Please forgive me Emily,"
