Background-
Riley was born into poverty with her family having constant struggles to survive. Her parents hadn't even plan for having a child and could't afford to make any arrangements for her. They tryed to get her into an orphanedge but that failed sense they would't take new borns. When Riley was born her parents had forgotten to care and tend for her so Riley had to learn to be independent and stabilize herself. And of course growing up with no home and very little money meant that she never got a good education, she did however learn all she needed to know about the streets, self defense, stealing, and other things as such. One day when Riley was 8 she and her parents were wondering around for a place to sleep when a hooded man approach them and demanded money. They of course only had a few cents at the time and that was already hard enough to get. They told him they didn't have anything but the man then ordered that he take there stuff. As when Rileys father was giving it to him. He attacked the hooded man. Of course he was armed so he fired his gun shooting Rileys dad right in the chest, he then went on try and shoot Riley herself but her mother moved in the way of the bullet. Riley was frozen with fear seeing her parents dead bodies. She would of been nexted that very second but the gun needed a reload. Riley was able to snap out of it in time and run. She had ran almost all the way to the other side of Gotham hoping that at least one person would be there at the end to help her. There was no one. She was alone by this point with little materials to help her survival. Things only got harsher as a street gang kidnapped her and used her as there own. Each day they would beat her for almost no reason. Riley didn't see things getting any better or worse so gave up and just accepted the way her life was. The gang also used her as there slave and made her do there jobs and chores. If she refused to, she would be wipped, abused, and raped. Not that she already wasent getting that kind of treatment from not doing anything wrong. That was until Batman had run up into the gang though. He learned that they had taken in a child to fight and kill with them so went to go check it out. When he found Riley it seemed like she was just being raised to be a punching bag. He helped bring her to a hospital but knew this would't be enough. So after she was able to leave, she had gotten asked if she would like to work along side the Justice League, Batman having to find out she is a fantastic fighter, infiltrater, and survivalist, they league agreed to do this. She was hesitant on it not sure if she could trust them but had said yes to the offer. She was decided to be paired up with Balck Canary/Green Arrow and even work with Batman at times
