All day yesterday dad has been wanting to have family time and I'm not against it I am just a little confused but mom seems completely unphased by it. And yet again today was the same way

R- why so much family time all of a sudden like why more than normal
C- there's stuff going on

And before he could answer the question there was a knock on the door.
C- I'll get that
Mom got up and stood in the doorway so she could hear and I walked over to her cause I noticed how nervous she was but I heard everything as well.
Guy- cole pendery
C- y y yes
Guy- we've been told you have been taking illegal substances so you are going to be under arrest
I couldn't help it I couldn't keep it in anymore
R- no please no don't take him he's quit please
I saw the tears in my dads eyes as he looked at me and looked at mom
Cop- sir let's go
C- can I at least say bye to them
Cop- yes
I ran over to him and I cried into his chest and he basically walked us over to mom without letting go of me
C- I love both of you so much things will be ok
I continued to hold onto him as I felt him lean over to kiss mom then he kissed the top of my head and then he had to leave.
L- he'll come back sweetie he won't be gone for long
