8 years later~

"Your pack didn't make it. There were no survivors." Alpha Major said solemnly.

I felt tears prick my eyes. My mom said she would be okay, that they would take care of it. Apparently not.

I woke up with a gasp and sat up straight in bed. I felt tears roll down my cheeks and quickly wiped away the tears and looked at my alarm clock.

I had woken up ten minutes before my alarm. Of course I did.

I was already wide awake by now, so I made sure the alarm clock was off and got up to get dressed and get ready so I could start getting pack duties done.

Everyone lived in a big pack house except for the Alpha and his family, the Beta and his family, and the head warrior and his family, who all lived in a much bigger house for themselves.

I dressed in some ripped jeans, ripped because they were so worn; I wasn't making a fashion statement, and a hand me down softball t-shirt from 2003. I myself have never played a sport since I was stuck being Omega, but it was okay cause I always thought that team sports were lame anyways.

I brushed my wavy blonde hair and put it into a ponytail, and then brushed my teeth. I never had the luxury to wear makeup. I never felt the need to anyway. Even if I tried to look pretty, no one would accept me because of my Omega title.

I have been Omega since I was 12, when my Uncle died of a heart attack. But even before then I never had any friends because everyone knew I was to be Omega.

I don't even know why I have kept myself alive so long. I have no family left, no friends, and I feel like I don't even have a pack, cause the one I am in treats me so terribly.

I huffed an annoyed breath and walked out of my small bedroom that was at the very back of the house, and made my way through many halls and down the stairs and straight to the kitchen.

I then began to work on breakfast for the pack. I made waffles and bacon, and then I cut up some strawberries.

Soon everything was on the table, and I was glad I was finally finished. Feeding more than 90 mouths every meal was exhausting.

But I knew that I had a lot more work to get done and I waved the morning fatigue away. I had to stay awake and moving, I still had a lot to do.

As my pack members started to trickle in, I started to clean the kitchen of the frantic mess I had made while I cooked.

I looked at the stove clock and saw that it was 7:00. Everyone should be in here by now because they either had school or they had jobs to do.

I pulled out the bread and other sandwich fixings and started to make 43 sandwiches for all the kids and teens who would be going to school.

This was excluding me however, because Alpha Major didn't allow me to go to school since I had so much to do as Omega. I didn't mind though because I never enjoyed school cause I never was motivated to do well and everyone hated me anyway.

I put all the sandwiches into bags, then put them in lunch pails or paper bags, then I put an apple in each one and a cookie. For the older kids I also added a bag of chips.

That was finally done, and now it was time for me to clear the dining room tables.

I walked into the dining room and started to clear tables, and when I got to the kids table I frowned. The kids had made a terrible mess of napkins ripped up and juice was knocked over and spilt in the floor, and I saw that they had played with the syrup because on their plates they had drawn happy faces and what not with it on their plates but it also dribbled onto the table cloth.
