Destined to be Alpha

Chapter 7

I grabbed the binoculars out of Matthew's hand and looked to see the starlight pack members completely unaware of our presence. Currently we saw children running around in front of the pack house playing as mothers and fathers sat watching from the sidelines chatting. 

I grinned. This was going to be all too easy. 

Me and a few of our new warriors were sitting at the edge of the woods hidden in the trees assessing the situation. The rest of the rogues were still on the other side of the border waiting for our signal for the attack. 

"How many border patrols?" I whispered to Matthew. 

"Only five." He smirked. 

"Good. You and some of the warriors take care of them. Once thats accomplished have the rest of the pack sneak their way in and come meet me here before we attack. Make sure the deaths of the patrollers are quick and they don't see it coming so they can't inform the pack." I stated. 

"Yes Alpha." He got up from his crouch next to me and signaled for two of the warriors to go with him. 

I put the binoculars back up to my eyes and kept watch of the activity. I was looking for signs of Collin or possibly his beta but neither of them showed. If there are only five border patrol, did that mean he was gone and looking for me? I mean it's plausible because usually there are at least ten border patrollers. Did he take a bunch of warriors with him?

Soon I felt the presence of my pack behind me. They all had eager smirks on their faces. They were ready and so was I. 

I lifted my finger to my lips to signal them to be quiet. I looked out in front of the pack house once again to make sure everything was still normal. I then looked back and gave them a nod. 

We all shifted and burst into the clearing and quickly slaughtered all of the adults before they could react. Around us we could hear the children screaming. I however did say to spare all the children. 

We were soon greeted by a herd of wolves and we quickly slew them also. 

I felt a Beta presence behind me and I quickly turned around and was greeted with a auburn wolf. He growled at me. I could also sense that he knew exactly who I was. 

I quickly lunged at him and bit his neck much like I had done to Alpha Major. He was quickly dead. I looked around and noticed that many of the starlight pack members held their hands up not wanting to fight. Cowards. 

I shifted behind a tree and quickly put on a t-shirt and jeans. I slowly walked out into the clearing and noticed my rogues had also shifted and changed. 

"Howdy old pack members remember me?" I said sarcastically. 

"What are you going to do to us?" I turned my head to the girl who asked the question. It was Jessica the girl that had been sucking faces with Collin that day I walked into the kitchen. 

She was pitifully holding her hands up in surrender and tears were falling down her face. 

"Oh I don't know maybe I'll kill you." I earned some snickers from the rogues and Jessica looked terrified. 

"Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to take this pack over as my own once I kill the new Alpha Major." I smirked. "And you guys can either accept me as your new Alpha or you will die. It's that simple."I flicked my wrist and signaled my rogues to put them into the cells. 

"Well that just went perfect." Matthew said as he stood next to me. 

"Indeed." I smirked. "How many of ours died and how many hurt?" I asked. 

"None dead only two hurt." He said with a genuine smile. 

"Good. Make sure the two wounded are tended to. I'm going to make sure to have guards at the borders and wait for Alpha Major myself." I smiled wickedly.

I couldn't wait to kill him and finally gain control of an actual pack. You see yes I was a Rogue Alpha, but my pack members weren't connected to each other with mind links and such. Their loyalty was also not set in stone, they didn't have to stick by me or call me their Alpha. Taking over this pack and replacing Collin would make me an actual Alpha.
