I am back.
It was a few days before the semester started at San Francisco State University. Many students were finding their dormitories around the main campus. Students could choose six different dormitories to live in throughout the semester.
The dormitories were spread around the main campus. There were University Park North, University Park South, Village at Centennial Square, Tower at Centennial Square, Tower Jr. Suites, and Mary Ward Residence Hall. Each dormitory had different layouts depending on the number of roommates and size of the dormitories themselves.
I decided to dorm at University Park South that was south of the main campus because the layout of the rooms were nicer. Also, University Park South had more layout options of the dorm depending on the number of students occupying the room. I was living in a two floors dormitory with two bedroom. I managed to reserve a bedroom for myself. The other bedroom would be occupied by my two roommates who I yet to meet.
To get to my dormitory, I had to walk across the quad towards the the Library and the Creative Arts building. Then, I had to cross the street to find my dormitory. Luckily, the dorm was right across the main campus.
After a while, I found my dormitory and opened the door with my key to see the kitchen. "Just like how I remember." Since freshman year, I had lived at University Park South. So, I was familiar with layout of the rooms.
I walked into the living room with my suitcases to see that the place was clean and furnished. The dorm room was very quiet. "I guess nobody is here yet." So, I decided to start unpacking my things in my room. I walked up the stairs and into the room on the left.
It was my bedroom. The bed was at the left corner of the room facing the closet. The desk was facing the window. The trash can was positioned between the bed and the desk. Once inside, I set my suitcases down in front of the bed and opened the window for fresh air. The breeze felt nice.
Just two more years to go.
I opened my first suitcase and unpacked my clothes and personal necessities. It didn't take long for me to unpack my clothes since I packed them neatly.
Thump.
I stopped unpacking. Must be a roommate.
I walked down the stairs to see two other girls in the living room with their bags and suitcases. The first girl looked hispanic with her dark wavy hair and tinted skin. The second girl looked Asian with her straight black hair and slim eyes.
Wonder if they would make good roommates.
I had many different roommates since I enrolled into San Francisco State University. Some roommates were quiet while others were noisy. Personally, I reported a couple of them due to their disruption. It was difficult to live with roommates sometimes because they weren't always compatible to me and my study ethics. The university didn't have dormitories for single occupancy.
The girls looked up and gave me a smile. "Are you our roommate?" the hispanic looking girl asked. I returned the smile and gave them a nod. "I am," I said and walked down the stairs to shake their hands.
"I'm Anna Griffiths," I introduced myself with my hand out. The first girl introduced herself to me. "Selena Lucia," she said and shook my hand. I looked at the other girl with my hand out. "Katie Seong," she said and shook my hand.
"Need help with your bags?" I offered to them. "Sure," they said in unison. I took a couple of their bags and walked to their room. Their room was at the right of my room. The room had two beds and two desk. They had a bigger closet since they were sharing a room.
