Gwendoline Saline: The Alien (Complete)

Chapter 1: Introduction

Hello. My name is Tara Yokley. Ty for short. I might seem like a normal teenager, but believe me when I say i'm not. I'm a complete nerd. I took my first AP class when I was eleven and graduated high school when I was fourteen.

My parents want to get me to go to college, but all the colleges answered the same. I cannot go until I turn seventeen. I have a couple months until I can go, but to be honest I don't want to go to college until i'm at least nineteen. My parents don't want to wait.

If you think that my life isn't normal now, wait until you hear my story. I should start at the beginning, so I guess that's what i'll do.

I live in Archer City, Texas. My dad was a work-from-home kind of person. He's my stay-at-home dad. My mom works full time and normally comes home around dinner time.

We never moved from Archer City so I don't really have much experience in any other city. In fact we still live in Archer City. Or at least that's how it began.

I know I told you I was super smart and there's a reason for that. It's called super-smarts. It is a super power and no one knows about it. Not even my parents know. I've never told anyone so when that man showed up at my house I was surprised.

I was always made fun of for being really smart. I ignored all the snide comments about me. I knew why they said the things they said and did the things they did. They were all jealous. I didn't blame them.

My life has been hard socially, but it's been fantastic. The story you will hear from me is how my life changed from a nerdy teenage girl to a girl with a lot of responsibility on her shoulders.
