Engaged to a Baozi (Exo Xuimin)

Chapter 12

"Anything I want huh?" Chen thought out loud,  the corner of his lips rising to reveal a frolicsome smirk. His hands proceeding to shove a handful of sedatives to each of his back pockets. "A very tempting offer I must say,"

"So enticing that even I can't help but accept."

This words of his caught everyone's attention, most importantly Yujin's interest. He took my bait already? He really must have this something he likes. 

"I have something I want too, even though you're older than me I cant loose." Kai intersected. The moment he said that, Yujin immediately looked over at his direction making their eyes meet. Somehow, she found it so hard to look away, completely aware of herself slowly being sucked into the deep nothingness of his eyes. 

Mianhe, I've made you misunderstand.

A sudden flashback of Kai's words from years ago snapped her out from daze. "Okay now, no need to announce your interests that way competition will be exciting." She coughed, trying to regain her previous composure and aura. 

"Proceed to whatever you plan to do in the morning. Right now  you all need rest."

"No dinner?" A pouting Minseok asked, rubbing his stomach. She shook her head as response making everyone groan in frustration. However through all this Yujin felt like everything fell into plan, silently celebrating in her head.

As soon as the sun rose they all took whatever number of tranquilizers they could and ran off to their own business. Kyungsoo, who seemed to have no interest on the older one's tactics just took his share of sedatives.

"Kyungie-ah, you're not one to want and be involved with with my shits,  where you off to dear?" Yujin questioned curiously as she twirled her hair around her fingers. The short man just beamed politely and proffered, "Off to find something edible,  care to join me?"

"I don't want to join." Suho answered. "I'm just going with you, hoping to maybe come across fruits or something not poisonous. I'm helping Kyungsoo and the others with survival preparations."

Yoona raised her brows at that, "Don't you have something you desire?"

"I have, but I value everyone's safety the most.  For it seems  like the person in charge of this death trap  doesn't give a damn about protection." He repied as he examined some berries meticulously before turning to ask at Xiumin.

"Do you think these are poisoned?"

The older one thought long and hard before suggesting to just take it back to camp so they can examine it. "Same goes for every fruits you find." The fair skinned man nodded and they continued walking. They conversed the whole time until Jun Myeon asked a certain question that made both stop dead at their tracks. 

"Do you have something you desperately want?"

"Yes, and Yujin is the only one who can give it to me." Chen replied as he kept on walking with Haneul and Soojung, searching for the exit (or somewhat like that).

"Were only doing this to so we cam get out of here faster than Noona intends to keep us at. Right Jagiya?" Haneul lightly elbowed Soojung for an answer.

The brunette only gave an awkward smile at this though. "Umm, I actually have something in mind." The boy only frowned at this but never questioned his girlfriend.

"These are black berries, am I right?"

Yujin hummed a simple response. Kyungsoo picked plenty from its brambles, still carefully making sure that he doesn't get pricked then he shoved those to his backpack that now contains varieties of fruits. 

"Kyungsoo. I personally think that is enough picking for today. I intend on keeping you here for a week and there aren't many edible fruits to go around." She informed him so that they'll all survive till her chosen period of time.

The shorter one nodded in response. "Right. I'm sure the others have something to contribute too." They headed back to camp but stopped on the way as a bear blocked their designated path. 

With no seconds thoughts, Kyungsoo promptly took action and gripped the tranquilizer tight, getting ready for action. As he was about to approach the bear (who had it's back turned on them,  completely unaware of their presence) Yujin stopped him.

"I'll do it."

The man really cant refuse now that he sees the determination in her eyes. So he simply backed away and climbed on a nearby tree's branch to simply observe.

Shuffling of the crunching fallen twigs under Yujin's foot definitely caught the large mammal's attention. The bear angrily screeched at her like how she is when someone wrecks her camera. Instead of being fazed, she felt fueled up and just stood there and uncapped (?) the sedative in her grip. 

Once the furry creature charged at her, Yujin immediately grabbed one of the bear's arm (?) and twisted it to its back. The bear, of course was much bigger than she could ever be and that is a big advantage for it. Being well aware of that, she had to make this quick. Yujin was about to sedate it when it suddenly broke free from her useless grasp.

The fact that they are too close for comfort gave the creature a chance to slap away the tranquilizer from her hold. She let out a loud curse when this happened. The animal opened its mouth and roared real loud at her face making saliva fly to her face and pissed her off.  She actually felt tempted to roar back and spit all over it's face,  but she knew that'd be childish. 

The paws of the mammal slashed at her, luckily she ducked and kicked the bear at its stomach. That action made it stumble a few steps backward before furiously aiming a slash at her, which she avoided again.  "Not the face bimbo. I've got many modelling offers waiting for me."

More guttural groans were heard from the bear as it kept on charging and slashing its sharp claws at her.  Even though she backed away swiftly her luck run out as her back hit the trunk or the tree, cornered by the mammal. Its face seemed to show a form of mock.

This only challenged her more though. Arms immediately shielding her crouched body as the bear slashed it's sharp claws at her. Of course, being human and everything, she winced at the pain.  Out of the corner of her eye she saw the tranquilizer that got swopped away earlier. 

To her dismay it is was too far away for reach. If I could only get that. She though hard, hard enough to not notice the bear's paws proceeding to hit her. The force came out strong and she fell down to the other side, farther away from the object of interest. Great.  Now what?

Yujin took action and got up but the pain was too much to bear,  even for her. For now, she felt helpless and could do nothing but groan in suffer.

Just as she thought that its the end for her someone suddenly stood in front of her limp figure.
