Evan walked down the almost empty streets of California. He had just moved down from Canada, trying to get used to the American air. It certainly was warmer. Filled with more people. More lively too. But he was feeling homesick. He missed the snow. EHis hockey team. His family. But that'd go away as time flew by. It was completely normal.

Evan seemed to be extremely interested in his social media, going through Twitter and whatnot, because he was not watching where he was going.

"Watch it you asshole! Made me spill my damn drink!" A male hissed, glaring daggers at Evan. Evan scoffed and glared back except the male had a scarier appearance. Although Evan happened to be taller by a few inches, the male had an ice cold aurora. It gave the Canadian chills.

"Well I'm fucking sorry. Next time try to avoid me!"

The man rolled his bright blue eyes and bent down to pick up his now spilt drink, managing to save some of it.

Evan stepped away and grumbled under his breath.

"What was that?"

Evan jumped slightly and looked at the man.

"Look asshole, if you've got something to say about me then say if out loud."

"I said, you're the asshole who ran into me."

The man was furious. So the next thing he did pissed Evan off to no end. He dumped the rest of his coffee on his shirt and shoved past him.

"Next time watch where you're going. Your fucking phone is not your life."

The man did have a point. Evan sometimes did catch himself being totally engrossed in his phone.

The man was about to leave when Evan reached out and caught his sleeve. Just barely.

"You're right."

The man looked at him funny, not as angry. Just more confused.

"I know I am. Can you let me go?"

This guy was so arrogant... Evan clicked his tongue and grabbed his wrist.

"I'll get you another drink, but you're getting me a new shirt. Then we'll consider it even."

Evan was practically dragging the poor around like a doll, the guy barely able to catch his own footing.

"H-Hey! I never agreed to this!"

"I know. Now hurry up!"

The man sighed and kept the pace up. And they walked like that until they reached the nearest coffee shop. Evan practically dragged the guy inside and stood at the counter.

"What do you want?"

"Just a normal coffee will be fine."

"Dude you're so bland. That doesn't even sound good. I'm not wasting my money on that."

The man stared at him with wide eyes.

"Hey-"

"Can I get a Caramel Frappuccino please?" Evan asked the cashier at the front. The lady nodded and started making the coffee.

"Oh- what's your name by the way?" Evan asked, not even bothering to look at the guy.

"Jay."

"Jay? Well Jay, my name is Evan. I'll be your guide until we get a new shirt."

Jay rolled his eyes and held up his arm, Evan's hand still locked around his wrist.

"Evan. Can you let me go?"

"No. You'll probably leave." Evan retorted, grabbing the coffee and handing it to Jay. Then Evan paid for the drink and yanked the man back out and towards a clothing store.

"E-Evan! Evan let me go- I can't keep up!!"

Evan rolled his eyes and slowed down his walking.

"God. You whine a lot."

The man growled something under his breath, trying to dig his heels into the ground. Evan wasn't having it. He continued to pull the poor guy along as if he were a rag doll.

"Jay. We're almost there. Just wait a little longer."

Jay's anger only got worse as he was about to smack the crap out of the Canasian.

"And vwalla~!" Evan said, standing in front of the store. Jay only rolled his eyes and went to the store, now pulling Evan along.

"Hey!"

"Shut up." Jay said, yanking his wrist free and walking to an area.

"Pick out the damn shirt so I can leave."

Evan rolled his eyes and moved around, looking for whatever shirt would fit his tastes. Jay on the either hand was bored out of his mind.

About 15 minutes later, Evan walked over with a shirt in his hands as Jay was halfway asleep.

Evan just stared at him blankly. He then got an amazing idea. He moved in towards Jay's eat and yelled.

"JAY I FOUND THE SHIRT!!!!"

Jay's eyes popped open as he stared at Evan. His body was as stiff as a board. Then he fell over. Evan's eyes widened as he caught the man.

"Bro! You ok?!"

Jay blinked twice then looked at Evan. His face went bright red. So he reached up and shoved Evan's face away.

"You're too damn close."

Evan only smiled and laughed. This was the start of a beautiful relationship.

-three years later-

"So he says "Hey baby wanna date?" And she says "sorry. I'm not into guys with small choking hazards." " Jay said, mimicking both voices that made Evan almost spit out his drink.

Jay smirked and put another fry into his mouth. Evan laughed, bending over and holding his stomach.

"That's really funny Jay."

"Jonathan."

Evan calmed himself down and looked at Jay, still smiling.

"What?"

"My name. Real name. It's Jonathan. Jay is a nickname."

Evan blushed.

"Well I certainly like that name better."

Jonathan covered his embarrassment by cramming more fries into his mouth.

"Hey Jay?"

Jonathan looked at Evan and raised an eyebrow.

"Hm?"

Evan took a napkin and leaned over the table, gently brushing crumbs off the side of Jonathan's mouth. Jay just stared at him, a dark blush spreading across his face. Evan's movements slowed until his hand was barely brushing against Jonathan's lips. Evan didn't move an inch. Jonathan did.

It was smooth. Passionate. And that's when Evan realized Jonathan's lips were in his own. Evan's eyes fell shut as he kissed the man back. The man he loved.

-two years later-

"AYE!! COMMERE!!" Evan yelled, chasing after his lover. Jonathan laughed and kept running until Evan's arms wrapped around his waist. Evan lifted Jay into the air and held him in the 'hug'.

"I love you bro."

"Yea yea put me down."
