"What the fuck!?" I yelled as I helped myself off the floor, "what did you just do?"
"What do you mean?" He said shaking his head in a confused manner.
"Your eyes. . .they were like waves." I tried to explain.
"Well, Iris, I do have ocean eyes." He said pointing at his eyes.
"Yes I know that and there very mesmerizing but I have never seen them so, so-"
"Iris, I think your just tired." He cut me off.
"Um. Yeah, I guess so. Because you know I'm just going crazy and shit."
"Iris, you know that's not what I said."
"But it is. I can say that I am honestly crazy but I'm also smart and I know what I saw." I did know what I was seeing. Yeah, I needed glasses but like I said im not blind.
He looked at the floor, annoyed, "Avery, just come in." He growled.
I heard a creeking sound coming from the door and I looked over to see a girl about me and Jacksons age peeking through the crack in the door.
She started to walk in slowly also keeping her head down, "hi, Iris. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." She said in a small, quiet voice, holding her hand out for me to shake. She still wouldn't look me in the eye.
I shook her hand slowly. Her touch was cold and her hands felt dry, "nice to meet you too."
"Jackson has told me so much about you." She had finally looked up and I could see that she was smiling creepily.
Now she stared me straight in the eye and I could see that, along with her hair, her eyes were red. I tried to pull back from the grip she had on my hand but I couldn't and instead she held it tighter.
She kept staring and staring at me with the same disturbing smile on her face until a crisp clean voice had spoke out, "okay, Avery, I think that's enough." Jackson said as he karate chopped through our once connected hands.
At that point she had finally let go and I sighed in relief. When she had left my touch she went right back to staring at the ground.
She turned to Jackson not looking him in the eye either, "I'm sorry for eavesdropping, Jackson, I didn't mean to. You guys were just being so loud and I wanted to see what was going on. I'm sorry." She pouted to him like she was a baby and it made me cringe just hearing her talk.
"Cut the crap, Avery, you know better than to invade my personal space and especially inside my own home. you owe me and Iris a real apology. now what the hell do you want?" His voice was low and firm and oh, so handsome. But to Avery it probably sounded threatening and rough.
"Ugh! Never mind!" She stormed out of the room and I could hear her loud stomps as she made her way downstairs.
Jackson groaned and facepalmed himself. I giggled, "so I'm guessing that was your sister?" I said through small hiccups of laughter.
"Uh, yeah."
I laughed a little harder grasping my stomach, "I feel so bad for you."
He looked at me and I immediately got shivers. His expression looked dark and stormy and it had scared me half to death, "don't ever talk about my sister that way again."
I snapped my mouth shut and stopped laughing, "I-im s-sorry." I stuttered.
Surprisingly a smile started to grow on his face. I stood looking at him in confusion.
"See, I'm a awesome actor too." He replied smugly.
"Oh wow!"
"Don't mess with me, Iris, I know all your secrets." He said giving me an amused look.
I laughed at this, "yeah, yeah. Oh, hey, random question, what time is it?" I had totally forgot that it was dark outside and i had never gotten the chance to check the time.
"Why? Are you getting tired?" He asked.
Right as he had asked that a wave of sleepiness had suddenly washed over me, "actually, yeah I think I am." I said as i wobbled a bit.
"Hmmm, okay. Well let's see," he picked up his phone from the nightstand, "Oh, well it's 12:51."
My eyes widened in surprise, "what?!" How long have I been here with him?
He just laughed and shook his head, "Are you busy tomorrow?" He lifted his eyes from his phone and looked at me. The illuminating light of the phone had made his face look a little spooky but it was also cute and I blushed at the sight.
I looked down at the floor to hide my face, "no." I answered simply.
He sat his phone down on the bed and slowly started walking toward me. When he had finally reached me I was still looking at the floor. He held my chin in his hand and lifted my head up so I was looking into his eyes. It was just as my dream had gone.
He grinned down at me, "Why are you blushing? You never blush. Do you have something to tell me?"
"I-i do-. . . i-i umm. Ehjdbfudjsjd?" I shrugged my shoulders not knowing what to say.
He nodded still keeping his grin, "Okay, I understand."
"You do?"
"Of course i do. I understand everything about You, your my best friend. Right?" Was he really asking me this?
"Of course! Why would you even think to ask me that?" I asked surprised.
"Because I know you want us to be something else."
What?! how could he have known about this? it's like he is reading my mind.
"Isn't that right?"
