**** Text message over****
I ran over to Harrison park as fast as I could. I don't know why, but I was beyond nervous. Deep down, I secretly hoped that he called me here to tell me he liked me. I would be so excited. Wait, I am setting my expectations way too high here. What if he never wants to talk to me again? Or he's leaving? I can't handle the pressure. I ran across the playground where I saw him pacing in front of a bench. I slowed my jog as I approached him. He turned around and shyly grinned.
Y/N: " Liam," I said out of breath, "Hey"
Liam: " Hey Y/N/N ( your nickname)
Y/N: " So what did you want to talk about?" I said sitting down on the bench behind us as he joined me.
Liam: " It's about Dallas, Dallas Winston" he stated, looking down at his hands.
Y/N: " That asshole. What the hell did he say to you?" I questioned as I furrowed my eyebrows.
Liam stared at the floor and gently tapped his foot against the sharp blades of green grass.
Y/N: " Liam, look at me" I grabbed his face and lifted it to face mine. His eyes wandered as I tried to look him in the eye. " Please tell me what he said."
Liam: " Are you and him together Y/N? Please tell me the truth.." He abruptly lifted his head and focused his glare on my eyes. His question knocked me back and I stumbled on my words. What were we? I really wish I knew the answer to his question, or at least answered in time.
Y/N: " I -- I-- don't....." I foolishly stumbled on my words as the lump grew in my throat. I let out a sigh and stood up. " Wait wait, Liam, where are you going?" I immediately grabbed his hand and stood next to him. He pulled his hand away and turned to look down at me. His face with no expression blankly stared in my direction.
Liam: " I can't Y/N. I just can't do whatever this is with you." He sighed while he spoke and walked forward with his hand his forehead.
Y/N: " What do you mean Liam? What is going on with you?" I quickly caught up and stood in front of him.
Liam: " What's going on with me?? What's wrong with your crazy boyfriend, Dallas?" He snapped and I jumped back. " He came up to me, pushed me against the wall, and told me to stay away from you. Why didn't you tell me that you guys were so close Y/N? I wouldn't have let my self become attracted to you if I knew that dammit!" I should've fucking known!" He threw his arms behind his head and began to pace by the bench once again
Y/N: " Liam, Dallas and I aren't together I promise. I'm sorry... I didn't mean to hurt yo--"
Liam: " You didn't hurt me Y/N... we never had anything to begin with." He looked at the ground and clenched his fists.
His words slapped me in the face. I stepped back and dug my teeth into bottom lip, hoping that the tears that clouded my vision wouldn't fall. But it defied me. A singular hot tear rolled down my cheek as I looked at his clenched fists. I switched my gaze to his face.
Y/N: " Liam, please don't listen to him. Where is this coming from?" My eyes widened.
Liam: " You clearly have something with him Y/N. And I'm not getting in the middle of that. I refuse to get my heart broken...." He picked up his backpack and swung it over his shoulder. He began to speed walk away from me. But I ran and gripped his hand and swung him around.
Y/N: " Please don't leave.." I pleaded. He didn't even look me in the eye.
Liam: " Just let go.." He yanked his hand away from me and walked. He didn't look back and I didn't chase him. And just like that...
He was gone.
