Ψtime skip to a week laterΨ
The week while my eye healed had been full of Annabeth and me locking eyes, looking away, and blushing. Over and over again. But we had some great conversations too and I found out more about her.
It was Friday and I couldn't wait for school to be over since we had our date today. The fair was in town, so I decided to take her to it.When the bell finally rang, I practically ran out of school. Annabeth was going to Piper's house so I was walking by myself. I didn't mind since I needed to calm my crazy nerves.
I opened the door to the apartment, said hi to my parents, and ran to my room. I picked out a dark blue button down dress shirt, khaki joggers, and a pair of vans. (Like this)I got dressed after getting in the shower and I attempted to tame my wild hair. It didn't work.
Before I realized it, it was 6:00 so I walked over to Annabeth's and knocked on the door.
She greeted me wearing a mint flowy shirt, black jeans, and black converse. She also had on her owl necklace that she wore every day, a little owl ring, and a gray bag. (Like this)My breath caught in my throat. Her blonde curls were pulled away from her face in a ponytail, leaving her gray eyes visible.
"You look gorgeous." I said. She blushed.
"You don't look too bad yourself, Seaweed Brain." Now it was my turn to blush as she stood on her tiptoes and reached up to fix a piece of my hair that was sticking up.
She laughed after it just popped right back up.
"Are you ready to go?" I asked, holding out my arm. She linked hers through mine.
"Yup." She replied, popping the 'p'.I lead her towards my car, that I barely ever take since everything is so close by. I opened the door for her and closed it after she got in. Then I got in the driver's side.
I turned on the radio and It's Time by Imagine Dragons came on. Annabeth smiled in approval.
We were there in a few minutes and quickly parked and got wristbands to go on rides.
We probably went on every ride, even the crazy loop ones and the tiny baby ones. We shared a cotton candy and I won her like ten stuffed animals, which costed like a hundred dollars, but it was worth it to see her smiling as she struggled to carry the toys. I took a few into my arms to help her and we headed towards the car.
It was a good thing it was the weekend because it was almost midnight. We laughed and agreed that we had a great time.
We got back to the apartments and stopped outside Annabeth's door. We looked into each other's eyes and leaned in.
This time nothing stopped us and our lips connected. I dropped the stuffed animals I was holding and wrapped my arms around her. She did the same. After a few seconds we pulled away.
I helped her gather up the stuffed animals and handed them to her.
"Goodnight Wise Girl."
"Night Seaweed Brain."
