More Than Friends

Movie Night

We knocked on the door and saw everyone already waiting inside. There was also another person sitting on a couch, talking to Jason.
I wondered why Will was here. We don't know him that well, but maybe that's why. What better way to get to know someone than by paying party games with them?
We sat down on a couch next to Nico. He was staring at anything but our new friend. I tapped him the shoulder.
"You okay? Your eyes look like they're having an seizure."
"Yeah." He left it at that so I didn't bug him.
Then Leo stood up triumphantly. " I have a great idea! Let's play truth or dare."
A series of 'okays' and 'sures' went around the room as Leo sat back down.
"Jason, Truth or Dare?" He asked.
"Truth."
"Have you kissed Piper yet?"
Jason turned as red as a tomato.
"No..." He said in a small voice. "Percy, truth or dare?"
"Dare." I said confidently.
"I dare you to prank call Walmart and ask for Target's number."
"Okay."
I found the number online, called it, and put it on speaker.
Hello?
"Hi. I was just wondering if you knew what Target's number is?" I asked.
The line was quiet for a few seconds and the call ended.
"They hung up on us." I said and we all laughed.
"Piper, Truth or dare?"
"Dare." She replied.
"I dare you to kiss the person to your left."
Her eyes widened, but her smug look returned.
"Fine." She pulled Jason's shirt down and pressed her lips against his.
Jason looked like a fish out of water when she pulled away.
I totally did that just for his reaction.
"Annabeth, truth or dare?" Piper asked.
"Truth."
"What's an embarrassing habit you have?"
"Uhh I bite my nails when I'm stressed?"
"That's not embarrassing."
"Sure it is when you mess up the nails that cost you thirty dollars."
"Touché"
"Nico, Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Do you have a crush?"
"Um...yes..."
"Really? Who is it?"
"No, you already asked your question."
"Fine."
"Leo, truth or dare?"
"Dare!"
"Okay. I dare you to drink a smoothie of mystery ingredients that we all choose."
"Um okay?"
We all got up to make the smoothie and told Leo to close his eyes. I added mayonnaise. There was also barbecue sauce, marshmallows, pasta, oatmeal, lemon juice, and hot sauce.
It smelled disgusting. When Leo took a sip, he gagged and ran to the bathroom to throw up.

We all laughed and sat back down to play.
"Yuck. You guys are horrible. Will, truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"I dare you to call your crush and confess your undying love for them."
"What if I don't have a crush?"
"Everyone has a crush."
Will rolled his eyes, but got out his phone and clicked on a contact.
What really surprised us was when someone's phone went off.
They made no attempt to answer, probably out of embarrassment, but we all knew who it was. No one else has that Centuries by FOB as their ringtone besides Nico.
Piper squealed. "Oh my gosh! I ship you two almost as much as I ship Percabeth."
I turned to her. "What now?"
"Shut up, Percy. Solangelo forever!"
Nico looked like a pitcher of koolaid was dumped on him. Will had a smirk on his face.
They left the room to talk.
Jason decided to go next. "Percy, truth or dare?"
"Truth." I said.
"When did you first realize you liked Annabeth?"
"The first day of school."
"Awww." Piper cooed.
"Annabeth truth or dare?" I asked her.
"Truth."
"When did you realize you liked me?"
"The first day of school when you helped me find my class."
I gripped her hand.
"You two are so cute!" Piper squealed. Then she turned to Jason. "Why can't we be like that?"
"Can I remind you that I didn't know you liked me until like 5 minutes ago?"
She playfully punched his arm.
"Whatever. Let's get Will and Nico back in here so we can vote on a movie to watch."
She said this while looking at me.
"Oh, you mean me. Okay." I got up to go find them. They were sitting on a couch in a different room talking so I knocked even though the door was open.
"Hey we are going to vote on a movie."
"Okay." Nico said and they followed me back to the living room and we all got up to go to the screening room.

The seats were big recliners and Annabeth and I shared one. I put my arm around her waist and she rested her head on my chest. I kissed the top of her head. Then piper held up five movies.
"We have five options: Captain America Civil War, The Visit, Finding Dory, Suicide Squad, and Rouge One."

We ended up watching Captain America Civil War. Even though I had already seen it, some of us hadn't, and it was still really good.
I was team Iron Man. Jason was team Captain America. Annabeth, Leo, and Nico were with me. Piper and Will were with Jason.

My favorite part was the fight scene. It was epic. Annabeth and I were sharing a popcorn and she ate like 90% of it.
"You going to leave me any?" I asked her jokingly.
"Nope." She said and popped another piece into her mouth.
We locked eyes and she pressed her lips onto mine. I kissed her back for a few seconds. Then we moved a bit, causing the popcorn to fall on the ground.
The others looked over at us and the popcorn mess.
We all laughed but were shushed by Nico, which made us laugh again.

After the movie, we ate some pizza. Jason and I his contest on who could eat the most pieces. I won with 6 to 5.
Annabeth and Piper looked at us like we were crazy, so I just stuck my tongue out at them.
"I don't know where you put all that food." Annabeth said.
"I'm a growing boy, I need my energy." I said.
Annabeth just rolled her eyes at me but she was smiling.

After we ate we watched some tv and talked a lot. Leo told a ton of jokes and I told a few myself.
Eventually we went to bed at like 2 a.m. It wasn't that late, but we didn't want to be sleeping till 12.
Piper and Annabeth went to her room and us guys went to the two guest bedrooms. It was Jason, Leo, and me in one and Nico and Will in another. (I know your face looks like 😏 right now, but they aren't going to do anything.)
Around 3 a.m. though, I had to use the bathroom. I wasn't wearing a shirt and I bumped into Annabeth coming out . She blushed but looked upset.
"Hey. You okay?" I whispered.
"Yeah." She whispered back, but it was obvious she wasn't okay.
"Are you sure? You can tell me. If you need to go home, I'll get the car and pick you up."
"No you don't have to do that. I just got my period and have really bad cramps. I didn't want to tell you because guys usually freak out."
"Oh. Why would I freak out? You're the one who is inconvenienced. If anything I should be helping you."
"Wow. Uh thanks..."
"Can I do anything for you."
"Umm... no that's alright."
"Please?" I asked.
"Well... do you think you could go to CVS and get some pads? Piper only had a tampon and I don't want to sleep with it in." She looked really embarrassed.
"Yeah no problem. Just text me a picture of what you want." I tilted her face up. "And you don't have to be embarrassed."
She surprised me with a bear hug.
"Thank you."
I kissed her quickly and put on my converse. I was about to walk out the door but Annabeth interrupted me.
"You might want to put on a shirt Seaweed Brain."
"Oh yeah." I quickly grabbed my T shirt and hurried to the drugstore.

I checked the picture Annabeth sent me and payed for it. I was probably gone about fifteen minutes and Annabeth rushed into the bathroom after I gave it to her.

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!" She hugged me again.
"Its fine. You don't have to thank me. You deserve it. I also got this."
I pulled out a tub of ice cream and some aspirin.
"You are the best boyfriend ever!"

We shared the ice cream and fell asleep together on the couch.
