Sullivan's Point of View:
I sat on the porch, watching my father pay the movers for hauling in boxes of my junk and the modern furniture my dad paid for to give my house a 'warm' feeling inside. He joined me on the step, as we both watched the truck drive down the street.
"You okay?" he asked, patting my thigh. I turned to him and cracked a smile, trying my best to be compassionate and believable. But of course, he saw right through me.
"I know it's hard moving, but we can start a new life here..in Australia. See, Ada seems to be settling in." he said, motioning over to my older sister who was conversing with a random group of guys about our age. I rolled my eyes and continued to flip the pages of my magazine, taking in the sight of unusual Australian boy-bands littered all over the pages.
My father sighed and walked inside, knowing he failed to comfort me. I rolled my eyes as Ada sat besides me.
"What's wrong loser?" she asked as she aimlessly played with her hair.
I threw my magazine aside and spilled,
"Everything. You and I both know that we don't wanna be here. We wanna be with mom. Why would dad move us to a shitty place like Australia that has no other climate but heat? It sucks here."
She shook her head and laughed, twirling around with a strand of her blonde hair.
"Agree to disagree, Sully. I love it here so far, the guys are hot and have sexy accents. What more can I ask for?"
Of course she would say such a thing. She doesn't care about the concept of a situation, she's just in it for the hot guys, anything to open her legs.
I snatched my things off the ground and stomped inside, soon throwing them on the kitchen counter. It was Sunday, and the day was soon ending- and I hated the fact that I had to arrive to another school tomorrow morning, any normal person's nightmare.
My dad appeared out of a corner with an empty box that marked BATHROOM 1 in his hands. Obviously, due to the number, there was more than one bathroom in this house.
"Oh, hey. I think you should unpack those boxes in your room. When you're done, dinner will be ready." he announced with a smile as he placed the empty box on the ground. I nodded my head and walked up the stairs, pushing open the door that was slightly cracked open.
The room was painted a light yellow, and it had a king sized bed laid in the middle of the room. I opened multiple boxes that were dropped on the ground, decorating and placing everything where I wanted it to be.

After hours of hanging posters and fairy-lights, it was finally time for dinner. Hearing my father's voice yell for me and Ada to come down was music to my ears, as the aroma of lasagna filled my nose. I skipped down the stairs, and sat down on the cushioned dining room chair that my father bought in concept of the modernized feeling.
"How are your rooms going along?" he asked as he placed the steaming plate of food in front of my hungry eyes. "Fine." he smiled and sat down on the chair at the end of the table, staring at the empty one across from him. I could sense the sadness in his eyes as it reminded him of mom. I placed my hand on top of his and gave him a reassuring smile, "It's okay dad, we miss her too."
He smiled and backed out of his chair, walking upstairs, leaving me and Ada alone.
"Oh well.." she said before getting up and leaving me as the only person at the table.
