Story for Kaji Yuki Part 2

It is my dream to be a mangaka. But because I lack in confidence, I ended up just drawing for my own pleasure. I drew my own life story. Especially during high school days, since those times I had happy memories, but also had painful memories.

But I never expected that my best friend, which is also my cousin, she sent my manga to Shueisha without my knowledge. I just received a call that they wanted to release it.

And because I already finished the story, they immediately released chapter one in their monthly magazine Bessatsu Margaret. Unexpectedly, we received positive reviews, and so they released the first volume immediately. It was really overwhelming, since the readers wanted the next volume. I could read their reviews from Twitter, and even fan letters.

Because of the high demand from the readers, instead of releasing chapters every month, Shueisha released one volume per month. It had 15 volumes in total, and in just span of over a year, my manga series became popular. I still couldn't believe it, and even I still couldn't get why they read it. The story was just about my high school life.

Even though I drew it, I never had a chance to read it when it was released per volume. I was embarrassed, but I always wanted to buy it. I always stood in front of the shelves where it was displayed, but had no courage to buy it.

But there was one time when I was standing in front of the shelves, and there was a man standing next to me. I just sighed, and he initiated to talk to me. He had a nice deep voice, and when I looked at him, he was really good looking with fairly white skin. I also noted his bubbly cheeks that you wanted to touch once you see him.

To also my surprise, he wanted to buy my manga series. And because I was talking to him, I somehow imagined his voice to the main character of the story. I mean, I knew that it was a real story, but somehow his voice really fit to him. Though the real person who I based this story, his voice wasn't like this person.

Because of that small encounter, the main character of my completed series, I imagined his voice saying those lines.

Though I wanted him to voice the character I drew, a drama CD was made, and a pro seiyuu was casted in.

I was there during the first recording, and I was really amazed on how they voiced them with exact expression. Though, I could say that my ears wanted that guy to voice the main character. I was being biased, but there was no miracle for that to happen.

Since first of all, I didn't know him. I just met him. And also, as if I could ask him to 'hey can you voice the main male character?'

Also, they already casted someone for the drama CD.

But then, the day before the last recording for the drama CD, I was told that they would be releasing an anime for it. And they would soon have an audition for the characters. I thought they would use the casts they had for the drama CD, but seemed that wasn't the case.

Well, I didn't know about how things work, I mean, I just started.

I called my cousin who's husband is a seiyuu. I asked her if she could ask him to audition one character, but she said that Showtaro-san was already busy and his schedule was already full. But she would tell him anyway.

And as if heaven was on my side, the director introduced the guy I wanted to meet. His name is Kaji Yuki, and he is a famous seiyuu!

As I was listening for the last recording, he was voicing a minor character that appeared in the last volume. I couldn't help but be amazed on this turn of event.
