Only Toyonaga Toshiyuki Part 1

Heavy ambiance covered the room, and it was still past 9 in the morning. The new five anime song writers in Aniplex stood holding their breath. The songs they made were being read one by one. They were fine that they were being checked by the other two lyricists, but the fact that you were there made them more nervous. You were famous for being a harsh commentator, but in a good way according to the people who know you well. But to new people, you were just a plain sparta.

You were spinning your pen reading each music sheet on her hands. The other two panellists were commenting good things on their works.

"What about (L/N)-sensei?" They asked you and the two smiled nervously, and the five new writers hold their breath

"Are they trying to impress me?" You asked still spinning your pen on your hand "are they writing a song? Or taking notes copied from the board?"

"You mean?" Asagi, the woman lyricist sitting on your right curiously asked

"These are all just empty words" you answered still not looking at the new song writers.

"Is that so? Then, its settled. Please revise them and submit it in a month"  Isami, the male lyricist sitting on your left told them and disbelief and irritation could see from their faces. "Any question or comments?"

"Eeto, (L/N) (F/N)-sensei." One female glared at you, gripping her hand in a fist "how can you say such things when its your first time reading it?"

You looked and sneered at her, as if you were expecting that question "because by just reading the lyrics and humming the notes I will eventually know. In this industry there are song writers who have talents. They are writing based on their experience, their imaginations, whole-heartedly, because they are genius, on their own reason... What are you in those? Why are you writing songs? Is is for yourself, the people who will sing, the people who will listen, or just because you just wanted to show that you had written a song?"

"But still, we did our best to write those lyrics." She retorted

But you countered again "the chosen words were well written, but in the end they became empty words."

"I don't get your logic" she hissed under her breath and rolled her eyes, again gripping her hands

"Its very straightforward." You again retorted and wrote your comments on each music sheets. The five new song writers gazed down as your words pierced through them. Once you've done, you left the room.

"Thanks for the work, (L/N)-sensei!" The two lyricist told you. They read your comments and the two chuckled as they shook their head. "As expected from her"

They stock the paper and they looked at the five people standing across them.

"You have a month to revise this" Isami handed the lyrics back "read her comments carefully, and you'll be fine"

"Is is still necessary?" The same girl who was complaining asked

"Ahre, she is not here anymore?" A man wearing an eyeglass with guitar case on his left hand and a bag over his shoulder entered the room. He looked around and bowed down repeatedly "sorry, did I interrupt you or something...?"

"No, we're done. If you are looking for sensei she already left, Toyonaga-san" Isami answered and laughed "she did it again this time"

Toyonaga laughed and curiously asked what happened. The two lyricists told him what you said and in the end he laughed at it. He looked at the five new song writers and congratulated them that made them wonder why
