Picked this song since it suits this chapter very well and... ya. I had another two songs planned out for the chapter but this one is just.. perfect. To me at least. Play it if you want. Also the name of the church used isn't supposed to be from real life and it's pretty basic, I guess? Sorry. Now on with the story!!!

(Rachel's POV) {Hunter's mom since you don't know}
As I fixed my black blouse's cuff, I heard a groan. "Why are you doing this to mee??" Hunter asked as he flopped onto my bed. "You sound like a spoiled brat. You're only 16, just a minor, and yet you went into how much trouble? There's no excuse for what you did the past couple of months, they were damn dumb for you to even consider, much less do. So grounding you is practically mercy." I scolded him, shooting him a glare through the mirror before quickly tying my hair into a bun. He instantly closed him mouth and stayed quiet.

I wasn't really that much of a shouter or one to get angered easily but this was way too much. Recently, I found out about what was going on. The 'half-siblings' one wasn't that shocking but he told me about that ages ago. Now is a whole different situation. No one deserves to have their heart broken but that's what he did, break a heart, and to someone who's life was already messed up as it is, even more than Aria, the half-sibling of Hunter.

"Mom?" he asked meekly, now right beside me. "What?" I snapped back, didn't really want to listen to another set of complaints. "I was just going to ask if you were okay. You were staring into space.." he explained as he scratched the back of his neck. I sighed. "I'm fine. Just... listen to me, okay? I don't need anymore trouble coming from you." I quietly said, even though it was more like a whisper.

Fortunately, he finally decided to follow and nodded.  "I love you. Take care." he mumbled as he planted a kiss on my head. "Same to you." I replied as my hands wrapped around his body. A few seconds later, I let go of him and grabbed my purse and slipped into some black heels. Once I was about to go out of the room, I looked back at him and gave him a flying kiss and closed the door.

I don't even know what I'm doing anymore.. I bought some roses since I thought it was a nice gesture? What if they don't like it? What if they're still mad? Of course they'll still be mad... Er... Argh!

The trip to Virgin Mary Chapel (the place where the funeral was being held), was pretty nerve-wrecking. So many things were running through my head, my palms were getting sweating, and I was a damn mess. I just didn't want to mess up.

Once I was finally there, I took my time trying to piece myself together.

Okay, breathe. I'm not sure if it's starting already but... oh what on earth am I doing? I'm not even invited or anything. Am I even close to her? I mean she was my classmate in high school, maybe even a colleague, but that's about it. What if this is counted as trespassing? Am I being too desperate? Oh Lord I-.

My ramble was cut off (which was probably a good thing), by someone knocking on the car window. I gulped, already knowing who it could be and took a deep breath for the last time before lowering it to face a not-so-pleased Kenneth Oakheart.

"H-hey Kenneth..." I stuttered, trying my best to seem at least a bit calm. "Why are you here? I don't remember inviting you." he almost instantly replied, purposely dragging out the 'you'. "I um was... hoping I could attend? I know that's not how it works and all but I... I wanted to apologize and make up for what my son has done and-" I tried explaining but was once again, cut off.

"Today isn't about Hunter and how he affected my daughter. It's about my wife who got killed. So if that's all you came here for, then it's best you leave." he said with such authority, I didn't know what to say or how to react.
