Chapter 2: I Like Me Better

(Kisses' POV)
Once I was sure Aria made her way safely to her house, I headed home and plopped myself onto the couch. My original plans for today were to hang out with Aria at 'Paradise' (as I would like to call it) but it was immediately crushed because she 'needed to go somewhere'.

I had my suspicions about what was actually going on in her life but most of the time, I didn't push further, considering how tense she looked whenever I asked about it. She'll tell me when she's ready. But that didn't mean I wouldn't stop worrying. I still noticed the scars and bruises forming on her body and the terrible excuses she would come up with at times.

Now though wasn't the time to contemplate and figure out what was wrong. I still had loads of schoolwork that needed to be finished and it may have been the weekend but I wasn't about to put them away until last minute.

I went to my room and placed the backpack I was currently carrying to the side, not before grabbing a certain snack. Now, with all of that happy vibe I was having a few hours ago gone, my smile fell as I saw what was the subject the majority of the homework was.

Yay... Math...

An hour had passed and I decided to take a 'quick' break. My head was already throbbing and I was probably going to get more and more confused as time passed.

I was on the bed, eating the bag of chips I took out earlier while the song '____' was playing on my phone. I didn't want to go back to anything school related yet but I didn't have any excuses, aside from needing to finish what I was eating, but soon, the only thing remaining will be the crushed chips crumbs. Damn companies for putting more air than chips.

Suddenly, the music was cut off for a moment by a certain notification popping up. I didn't mind it at first but it kept coming, cutting off the song again and again. I had about enough and grabbed my phone to see what or who it was.
