We could leave, I'm sure of it. It will take lots of planning but we could find the blonde factory. It's on the other side of the city, but we could get there. Hanna stands in the middle of the floor looking confused but intrigued. I walk over to my desk and grab a blue notebook and a pencil.

I start by drawing a map of the city. First I draw the boarding schools in the north-east corner. There are three, Bretten, Vandy, and RavensBurg. Vandy is the largest, and Bretten is the smallest. I draw the roads and doors out of each school. Each school only has on way in or out. Everything is in one huge building. All three schools around surrounded by a 10 foot wall. Every way out is crawling with security guards. They do not want us getting out. Hanna looks over my shoulder, while I draw the city.

"How will we ever get out?" She questions

Honestly I have no idea. It seemed like a better plan in my head then on paper.

"I have no idea" I tell her "We have to try though"

"I agree" She respond es "I have to go to class"

That's right she doesn't have the afternoon off. I say goodbye to her as she walks to her next class. I start drawing more of the city. Next I draw the rich land. It is just south of where we are. In the very bottom corner, the castle lies. Outside is a large wall around it. Surrounding the castle are the wealthy houses, I don't think to get to the factory we will have to go through the wealthy county, but you never know. In the south-west corner the factory is.

We have learned some about the factory in school. There are three buildings. The largest is the main factory where they make everything. Inside the factory there is a mess hall, where they get there one meal a day. One the top and right side of the factory there are living quarters. One for families, when they have a baby, it lives with there parents till they are five. Then they are sent to school till 8th grade. Then they are returned to their parents till they would have graduated high school. The other living quarters is for the single people, one half for men the other women.

The other area of the city is the common man's houses and the shopping district. We lived here my father thought it would be easier to hide mom if we weren't in a wealthy area. It worked for a while. When I finish the city, I start to think of ways to get out of Bratten. The only way out is pointing towards the south. The way out of the wall is on the west. If Hanna and I found a way out on a Friday night and could be back by Sunday night, they might know we were gone. You aren't required for meals on weekends. We are required for church on Sunday at 8am. We might be able to find an excuse.

I think if we sneak out at around midnight they might not notice. I plan to leave our dorm at 11:00. It is a half day journey to the factory, but if any police catch us we will be sent back to school and maybe sent to RavensBurg where the worst of the browns go. Once we get to the factory Hanna can take off her wig, but I still don't know how to get in to the factory.

I look up at the clock and see that Hanna's classes just ended. I decide to walk to her class and talk to her about my plans. I walk to the second floor and she runs over to me. We walk silently to our room, but I know she wants to know what I have done. When we get to our room I pull out the notebook that I hidden in a broken drawer in my desk. I also have a picture of my mother, father, and me when I had blonde hair.

"So I think we should leave when we figure this out, but on a Friday night." I say

She nods in agreement as she looks at the map I made and the notes I out on another page. We talk plans till it's time for dinner. We walk and talk to the mess hall. We sit in our normal spot and talk about our first day of school, while we wait for the waitresses to bring our food.

"Oh hey, bitch" Kim says as she walks past our table

Hanna stands up looking pissed.

"You know you can fucking shut your mouth" Hanna says

"Oh so she can talk!" Kim snaps back

I drag Hanna down, I do not need my best friend being kicked out of the school. I finally have someone to trust, I can't lose her now. She quiets down when our food is placed in front of us. I eat my steak slowly. When I finish I head back to my room and take a shower. I braid my hair, lay down on my bed and start to read. Hanna does the same. Before I fall asleep I hear Hanna.

"I'm really happy I have a friend"

"Me too"

Then I fall asleep into a dreamless sleep.
