So wait. My teacher is kissing a blonde man. I am in complete shock. I always thought she was one of the people that thought if you didn't have brown hair, you are the most disgusting thing ever. Well I guess she can act. I am in complete shock. I forgot where I was for a minute before Hanna grabbed my hand.

"Should we leave?" She whispers

I shake my head to tell Hanna no. I think we should wait and follow Ms. Aceti. If we get lost, we can follow her. I also think if we make loud sounds she might now we are here. That would be bad. But we have the fact that she was outside too. We could use that. I think we would still go to prison.

After a minute the man leaves the same way he came. Where is going? The Factory? Not possible. You can't leave. Is someone hiding him, like we hid my mom. Possibly. I don't know. Probably will never know. Ms. Aceti starts back towards the door on the wall. Ugh I just remembered the walk. At least it's a Friday I can sleep all day tomorrow.

Hanna starts following when she thinks we are a good distance a way. We sneak around. Running to hide behind bushes and trees. We reach the door and try to open it. Doesn't move. Are you serious? Are we trapped outside our school? Shit! We try to pull on it for another minute. Then I notice a button on the side. I hit it and the door swings forward.

When was this made? It door seems old. It is rusty. It squeaks when you pull it open. The button on the side looks like it is going to fall off. If I had to guess I would bet this was built when the city was. I read in the book that where the schools are used to be a camp for blondes. Maybe they made this. A way to sneak out. How did Ms. Aceti know where it was? She may be old but not 200.

When we get in I see Ms. Aceti opening the door in the floor and climbing down. Hanna and I walk over to the door. Hopefully this one opens. I would rather not get locked out. But it could be better, down there is where the dark, rats and the smell of rotten milk is. When we reach the door I take one more look at the stars and a huge breath of the outside air. I won't be back for a while. I have to figure out the plan before I can leave again.

I follow Hanna down the ladder. We walk back to the library as quietly as possible. Every time Ms. Aceti looked back. Hanna shoved me against the wall where it was almost pitch black. Also covered in mold. Gross.

We finally reach the door back to the library. I am so tired. I stay up late, but I don't spend it going up stairs full of rats. We choose to wait a couple of minutes before going back into the library. Just in case she is looking at a book or waiting.

After about 5 minutes Hanna pushes the door open. Thankfully it isn't locked. There is no one in the library. We left our stuff at our table. It is passed library hours. I want to just sleep on the table. Hanna grabs me and pushes me to our table. She saw how tired I was. We pick up our books and put them back on the shelf. I throw my pencil and notebook in my backpack and put it over my shoulder. Hanna does the same.  We go to the door. And it's locked.

How many doors are going to lock on us today? I look around hoping for a secret. I don't find one. Why would I? I am not outside anymore I am in Bratten. You have to have a key to open basically anything.

"I guess we are sleeping here?" Hanna says

"I guess."

I just wanted to sleep on my bed. With a warm blanket. We put down our backpacks as pillows and lay down. After 10 minutes I still can't sleep. This floor is not comfy at all. I lay for 5 more minutes when I hear the door to the library open. The janitor is there. Thank you!

"What are you girls still doing here?" She asks us

"Um we fell asleep doing research then the door was locked" Hanna answers she has quick wit

"Okay, head back to your dorm" She says opening the door for us

Good I can sleep on my bed. I can actually sleep. We walk out. When we reach the mess hall someone is sitting on the table. Staring straight at us. Ms. Aceti.

"You know you aren't allowed to leave school."
