ETHAN ZEAGERS
The typical handsome, popular, bad boy of Beverly High School who shows his fake front to everyone but is broken deep inside. All he wants is a normal life, free of clingy bitches. Known for his temper, he surprisingly allows an unknow...
The drive to the destination was quite. When the car halted, I guessed that we reached the place. I looked out of the window, expecting some cliché fancy restaurant but I saw that we were at the beach. It was surprising.
What was more surprising was that there was no one there. Like, not a single soul. The ocean was calm and silent. The only sound was the faint chirping of birds.
As I sat mesmerized by the view, Ethan walked around to my side and opened the door for me. He offered his hand for me to take and I obliged, still confused as to what the date was supposed to be.
He must have noticed my confusion because he smiled and said, "Don't think about anything. I promise not to kill you so just enjoy what I have planned, okay?"
I simple nodded, still gripping his hand. Both of us didn't seem to want to leave so we let it remain like that. After a quick five minute walk, we reached a stone pathway. The view beyond it shocked me.
Around the pathway were poles covered in flowers and with a lantern hanging on each of them. Between the poles was a small table with two chairs. It was placed on a podium overflowing with flowers, most of which were lilies, my favorite. The fact that he remembered my favorite flower almost brought me to tears but I refused to cry. What he had done, no one had ever done for me.

I looked at Ethan who was smiling nervously. He must have noticed my teary eyes because his expression instantly turned to a concerned one.
"Oh, shit! You don't like it, right? God, I can't even plan a date properly-"
"Ethan-"
"-I'm so sorry Rebecca, I don't even know why I planned such a stupid date. Like, a beach is so stupid-"
"Ethan-"
"-you trusted me to plan a super date and look what I did. I'm so sorry, Rebecca-"
"ETHAN!" I finally yelled, instantly stopping his rambling. He looked guilty and disappointed at the same time.
"I teared up because it was so special and I have never seen anyone do something more beautiful for me."
His expression slowly turned back to its usual one. "Really?"
"Yes."
He smiled and took my hand again. "Well, for someone special, you have to do something special, right?"
Leading me to the podium, he seated me before sitting down himself. Just after we sat down, he removed a camera from his pocket and clicked pictures of both of us. I raised my eye brows at him.
He shrugged. "I want to capture every moment we spend together."
By the time the food came, I was famished and seeing the delicious food in front of me made my mouth water. Ethan just laughed at my expression. We spoke while eating, exchanging tidbits of information from our lives.
After we were done, Ethan got up and walked over to where I sat. He bowed in front of me and held out his hand, all the time smiling. "A dance, my lady?"
I laughed. "There is no music or anything, Ethan."
He smiled wider and straightened, clapping his hands. From nowhere, a bunch of people in tailcoats with guitars and violins came out and started playing a simple tune.
Ethan again gave his hand and this time I took it. He snaked his other hand around my waist and pulled me closer to him. I lay my head on his chest and he put his chin on my head as he swayed us both around in circles. It wasn't anything fancy but it was the most magical moment of my life.
After some time, the music stopped and the people silently left. Ethan then led me on a walk by the shore and we lay down on the sand. He spread his hands and I kept my head on his arm. He seemed surprised for a minute but then relaxed and pulled me closer to his body. He entangled his free hand with my right one and we just lay there, staring at the stars.
After a few seconds, he turned his head to look at me. I did the same.
"May I?"
I smiled and leaned closer to his face. He closed the rest of the distance between us, meeting my lips with his own. Our lips moved in sync. This kiss was different from the others, it was more passionate and filled with love. We pulled back for a few seconds and smiled like goofballs at each other.
He then kissed me again and I willingly let him.
It was the first date I'd ever had and by far the best one. I didn't want it to end. All I wanted was to lie there in the sand, with stars our only company and keep kissing the boy I wanted to give my heart to.
