Ethan's POV
I missed every part of Rebecca almost every day. She seemed to be as important to me as the elixir of life. Sure, we did call each other and text almost every day but I wanted to see her, touch her. I wanted her to always be next to me, being mine and only mine.
After spending a couple of hours doing nothing at home, I decided to head over to Rebecca's house and meet her. Grabbing my car keys from the dressing table, I left the house and got in my car. On the way, I bought a bouquet of her favorite flowers, lilies.
Rebecca's POV
Just after I had finished washing a few dishes, the doorbell rang. It was weird. Usually, no one came to visit at this time. Frowning, I opened the door, only to get a huge surprise.
"SURPRISE, baby girl!"
I jumped on him and gave him a tight hug. After so many years, I was so happy to see him again.
"JOSH, YOU CAME!" I literally screamed in his ear. He just hugged me tighter for a few seconds and then put me down, chuckling all the while.
"I'm so happy to see you, Becca! You seem to look more beautiful every year."
I blushed at his comment. He had been my only friend and partner in crime but then he left for Chicago last year. While we did stay in touch through Skype, it just wasn't like it had been before. I wanted him to be with me.
Smiling, I turned to him and hugged him once again. "Thanks, Josh! You never fail to make me blush and be happy. If you weren't gay, I would've asked you out a long time ago."
He smirked, knowing exactly how good-looking he was. Yes, Josh was and openly proud of it, which he should be. Every girl wanted him because he was extremely handsome. Most of the girls we knew or even didn't know, hated me because I was the only girl that was quite close to him. He didn't like the other girls mainly because he said and I quote, "Those girls are as clingy as a koala in heat and I would rather prefer a man over them."
Josh
"Urgh, don't say that. I always prefer a man, even when it comes to you." See? Told you.
I chuckled, not taking offense. "Yeah, yeah. Tell me when you change. How was Chicago? Don't tell me you will be leaving soon?"
I hated the fact the fact that he only came for a month. I wanted him to come back to Beverly High with me.
"Okay. I have another surprise. I was thinking of continuing to-"
"You're staying here, now. Right?" I cut him off, already knowing where he was going with it. "Yay!"
I pulled him into a tight hug. Today was by far the best day, ever. I loved him so much. He was just like the brother I never had.
He laughed. "Yeah, I'm planning to stay here. Chicago was great. Lots of new things but I still prefer this place."
We both sat up late that night, talking about whatever that we missed during the year. I even told him about Ethan but not very clearly, just bits and pieces. He was elated knowing that I finally, finally had someone.
His reaction was something like, "OMG! I'm so happy for you. By the way you describe him, I'm sure you're gonna make it official. My baby girl has grown so much. When's the wedding?" He even wiped away fake tears.
I know. That was quick.
Such a drama queen, I swear.
