Kevin Zeagers as Zach (Rebecca's Bro)

Rebecca's POV

"Rebecca! Get up! What do you think you are doing, sleeping till so late! Get up!"

My morning started like this: with my twin brother Zach screeching in my ear.

I groaned and pushed his face away from mine, pulling the covers over me. I hated people who interrupted my sleep. It was the one place I could dream freely... about Ethan and me, of course.

The covers were suddenly jerked off my body and thrown away.

"Get up or this ice cold water will be on you face and not in the glass."

I hugged the pillow closer and closed my eyes, turning away from him. The next second, my face was drenched in ice cold water that did everything to chase my sleep and nothing to calm my anger at being awoken.

Zach merely smiled as he saw me shiver and sit up with the nastiest glare I could muster.

"Hey, now! I said I'd throw it."

Still giving him the stink-eye, I got up from the bed leisurely and moved towards the bathroom. "So, why did you wake me up?"

From the reflection in the bathroom sink mirror, I saw Zach grin wider. "It's 6 o'clock and you're late."

My eyes widened as I turned around, pausing in brushing my teeth. "Wash did chu shay?"

His grin threatened to split his face as he continued, all the while slowly moving back towards the door of my bedroom. "Of course, if you want to go back to sleep now, it's fine. Only, your clean record will be stained. It's okay, I guess."

Saying the parting words, he hurried out of my room, leaving me to my increasing panic.

In a few minutes, I had showered, dressed and was heading to the front door. I was wearing a grey, knitted sweater and a brown scarf along with blue skinny jeans. My feet were clad in my favorite brown boots. Just as I walked out of my room, I noticed the dress I had worn the day before and my brain instantly rewound the events of the previous day.

My cheeks flushed as I realized how we had kissed under the fireworks. Ethan's lips had been soft on my own, gently coaxing me to give him all of me. Almost instinctively, my fingers touched my lips, remembering their softness.

Suddenly, I was reminded of a very old memory. I had been six years old when I first met Ethan. Of course, at that time, I hadn't known he would grow to be such a playboy. Now that I thought about it, he was very popular even in kinder garden.

I had been playing with my friends (yes, I did have friends in kinder garden). We were skateboarding down a hill when the skateboard I was own tripped over something and both the skateboard and me went flying down. Luckily, I got away with a few scratches and bruises. My skateboard though had to give up its life.
