Hello! :) Sorry for the late update!!! I'm horrible at having an updating schedule. Haha. Well, I'll say in advance that I'm probably not gonna update again until March 7th. I know that's not a Sunday but oh well. I have a lot of ACT studying to do and that's the day right after I'll be finished with testing. Wish me luck! ;)
I hope you enjoy this chapter. :) Oh, Sophia is over there --->

The rest of the day Monday and Tuesday was pretty uneventful. I didn't see Josh at all, and I didn't see Sophia except for in school. Josh and I were always texting though. Now it was my birthday, and I was officially 17. But Josh and I had decided on Monday that we'd skip school today and we'd do stuff for my birthday. Surprisingly, my mom suggested we should do that. So obviously she was okay with it. I was woken up at 10:15 by a text message from him.
Happy Birthday baby! I'll pick you up around 12?
To: Josh
Thanks. :) 12 is fine.
From: Josh
Okay. I'll see you soon Av. :*
To: Josh
See you soon handsome! ;)
I put my phone back on the charger so it would be charged for the day. Getting out of bed, I got my clothes for the day and took a quick shower. I then blow dried my hair, styled it, and proceeded to do my makeup. I was super excited to be hanging out with my favorite guy on my birthday. I heard knocking coming from downstairs, looking at the time I saw it was 11:45. He was here, but early. I walked down the stairs to let him in.
“Hey!” He said, giving me a hug.
“Hi,” I said, “Who are these for?” I referred to a bouquet of flowers he was holding.
“My lovely girlfriend. It's her birthday, have you seen her anywhere?”
“Shut up.” I said taking them. “Thank you Josh, they're beautiful.”
“Soph said that your favorite was roses.”
“Well she was right, and I love them. I'll just put them in some water and then we can go.” I turned into the kitchen.
“So, I know you said not to get you anything but I did anyway.”
“No, these are fine,” I said, turning around to face him. Seeing that he was holding out a small box out to me. “What is this?”
“Open it.” He said, his eyes shining like real emeralds.
So that's what I did, obviously. I saw that it was a bracelet with my birthstone on it, which was Opal since my birthday was in October. “Thanks, I love it.” I held out my left arm. “Help?” As soon as he fastened it, I set the box on the table grabbed my phone and slipped into my pocket, and we were out the door.
