Rebirth,
return -resurrection;
it's beautifully terrifying and
tragically fascinating.The concept -
it tears your mind
in two.It depicts,
straightforwardly as can be,
whetheryou're lucky enough,
to be content with
the one thing that
you could never hide from,or
you prefer
to try to hide
rather than seek.To think;
that once your heart
withers away,
you could be
a new person,
with (a) newfamily, struggle, location,
friendships, hatred, love,
fear, social standing, illness,beginning.
Perhaps
the most intriguing,
mystic, and/or frightening
of all gifts given when reborn -
is a new mind.To think;
'I won't remember this moment.
I won't remember the anxieties storming my mind.
I won't remember anything.'is somehow
both comforting
and dreadful,perhaps depending on
whether or not
you're winning
life's game.Life's game.

PoesíaA collection of tragedies of sorts, of demons or angels (whatever you'd fancy to call them) that lurk and/or gleam in my mind. Written when the moon's dreary and the sun's near awakening. Obnoxiously metaphoric, subtly inspirational. © Jake Sullivan...
