Jenna's POV

I woke up to the sound of loud roaring thunder, and the rain heavily pouring down just outside my window. Getting up from my bed, I looked outside my window and couldn’t see much of my backyard. There was so much rain pouring down, it was too blurry to see from beyond my window.

I loved it when it rained. I don’t know why, though. I guess rain brings me joy, and cloudy days make me happy. I hated sunny days because it was easier to sweat and smell yuck.

But the only thing that sucked about this morning was my parents had already left for work, and usually Lily walks to my house in the mornings and we walk to school together. I wasn’t exactly old enough to drive myself to school, let alone, own my own car, and the next bus stop was blocks and blocks away from my house. Looks like I’ll be staying home today. I didn’t really have a choice.

I hoped back into my bed, and put in my headphones in and fell asleep listening to ‘not good enough for truth in cliché’ by Escape The Fate. You know, the stuff Ronnie used to do with the band.

I woke up about 2 hours later. My iPod died of no battery, and it was still raining outside. It was worse then before. I sighed at the thought of being bored, and not being able to do anything.

Walking out of my room, I walked into the bathroom and had a shower. During then, I heard weird noises come from my house. I didn’t know where, but it sounded like my attic. It was right above the bathroom and my parent’s room.

When I hoped out of the shower, I quickly got dressed, and opened up the bathroom door. I looked down my hall and saw my attic stair case down, and attic ceiling door opened. Has someone been in my attic? No, of course not. I’m the only one home. But… I didn’t open the attic door…

I started to slowly walk up my hall. I could feel an evil presents around me and above me. I could tell it was evil because I felt cold. Then I felt an instantly shiver go right there me. Like a spirit just walked through me. Then again, I just had a shower, and it could just be the wind passing by.

I made my way to the stairs to the attic and felt colder for some reason. Something in the back of my mind was telling me not to go up there.

"Don’t go up there. Don’t go up there. Don’t go up there" I heard a familiar voice whisper around me. I looked around me, and didn’t see anything. I put my right foot on the first step, and the attic door slapped shut. I jumped in strife, feeling scared out of my mind. I wanted to know what was in my attic, and what slapped the door shut. Decidedly so, I walked up the attic stair case, and froze. I felt something grab my ankle. I turned my head and looked down and saw nothing, but still felt something grab my leg. It tried pulling me back, but I held on strong to the stair case.

"Let go of me" I shouted, trying to shake my foot. I didn’t know what it was, but it was a powerful force. Suddenly, I felt something else grab my other ankle. It pulled my feet off the stair, and dragged my down. I screamed, I pleaded, and yelped in pain, as the force through me down the hall. I rolled and tumbled in circles down my hall. A tiny tear dripped down my face. I felt my shoulder out of place from being thrown down the hall so forcefully.

I stood back up cautiously, screamed in the pain as I popped my shoulder back into place. I felt my face. No sign of blood. Thank god! I hit my nose pretty hard against the floor a couple of times, I would have been expecting my nose to bleed.

I was scared to walk back down my hall, but I chose to anyway. This was my house, and I will walk where ever I want to.

I put my leg back onto the first stair again, and felt a sudden insecurity. I felt a set of eyes on me. I was scared at the thought, but ignored it.
